"307. Great." He said, not even thinking about what Tae had just said until they were already walking down the hall. He was too distracted by the warmth of Taeyun next to him, and the gentle way their shoulders brushed slightly as they walked. The halls were dark and quiet, most kids already steadily working away at homework or asleep. It wasn't too late, only about 10:30. As they walked past dorms, Jonas could hear the occasional sound of friendly chatter in the rooms they past. The doors weren't very soundproof. He knew that for a fact, as he had been treated every night to the boy in the dorm next to him arguing with his girlfriend every night. Jonas was tempted to just yell at them and tell them to break up. They fought more than anyone he knew, and he was friends with bratty celebrities. Walking down another hall he finally realized what number he was walking to."307?" He repeated with a frown.
"Oh! Are you the guy who's moving in?" He asked with wide eyes. He wasn't sure if he liked that. He liked Taeyun but he had enjoyed his time in a dorm alone after his previous roommate had dropped out. Reaching the door, Jonas opened the door and peaked in. More boxes stacked on the other side of the room and he glanced over at Taeyun. He didn't have a lot of stuff from what Jonas could see. Besides a whole bunch of pillows.
As Taeyun walked with Jonas, he realized he was slightly walking at an angle to the other boy. He didn’t know why he did that, but in crowds and even just walking the halls he tended to stick to someone like a burr, or stay on the side. He liked to be near people, but he didn’t like interaction.
He took a deliberate step sideways to give Jonas some space, but kept his fingers intertwined with his. His choreo song was stuck in his head, and it was making him feel rebellious for some reason. But not in a bad way. He was just … bored with being sad and quiet.
He glanced over at Jonas and nodded, a confused expression apparent on his face. Why did Jonas look so … upset? He followed him into the room and sighed at all of the unpacked boxes. He didn’t want to organize things. Ugh.
Letting go of Tae's hand, Jonas sat down on his bed, taking a long look at all of the boxes and stuff that scattered around the other side of the room. He smiled tiredly at Taeyun, suddenly feeling like he just wanted some time alone. He went about his day with the assurance that he was going be allowed to go back to his dorm and spend some time alone. Do homework, read a book, surf the internet, anything that didn't involve people. He didn't want to explain what he felt to Tae but he also didn't want to make the other boy feel bad."Well... uh make yourself at home I guess." He said with a slight shrug. Most of the boxes seemed pretty much unpacked but not organized so he figured Taeyun would like to spend some time getting his living space a little nicer.
"I have to do a blog. Do you mind being in it?" He asked with another tired look. He didn't want to deal with another blog but he had promised his mom to do daily blogs to keep up with the media that he wasn't getting at BLA. She would not take it well if he missed another day this week since he had already forgotten on Monday.
Taeyun noticed Jonas’s shift in attitude, but didn’t say anything. He understood … well, at least, he thought he did. He nodded and walked to his side of the room, sighing again forlornly at the mess awaiting him. He sat down on his bed and put his head in his hands for a few moments of silence before he had to start unpacking. The cracking sound of thunder jarred him out of his thoughts and he jumped slightly, waiting for a few minutes before getting up again. That had been the last, apparently. Now there was just rain.
“Blog?” Tae said blankly. He wasn’t familiar with the term. Again, he was concerned with Jonas’s exhausted-looking face. Maybe he wanted some time alone. Taeyun should be practicing. He’d missed his 12 time today. And that would give Jonas some time, and put off packing up for a while. He turned to head back out the door.
((Sorry for moody Jonas))Jonas put his elbows on his knees and let his head rest in his hands as he watched Taeyun slowly begin to unpack. He knew that he should help the other boy but he was trying to prepare himself for having a roommate again. He desperately tried to think of something to blog about as he watched. He didn't want to blog about his date with Taeyun, that was too personal and he didn't really want anyone to know about it. Much less his mom. She was totally fine with him being gay but he wasn't really supposed to date any non-celebrities. It was much less interesting for his audiences if they didn't know who his boyfriend was from some other T.V show or something. He was so lost in his thoughts that he only realized that Taeyun was leaving until he was half out the door.
"Wait where are you going?" He asked, feeling bad for being so rude.
"Sorry, i'm just tired... look i'll help you unpack and stuff if you want?" He asked with an apologetic look in his eyes. He wasn't being rude because he didn't like Taeyun he just didn't like having people around all the time.
{no it’s cute
should we move this to their dorm?}
Taeyun stuck his head back in the room with an innocent look on his face. “I’m going … to dance,” he said. “You want me to stay?” He honestly didn’t really want to stay, but he would if that was what Jonas wanted. He needed to practice one last time before he showed someone, and there was no way he was getting up at 5 tomorrow when he’d just moved into a new dorm. Then again, maybe he would.
Jonas was so sweet though, for offering to help him even when he was clearly exhausted. Couldn’t he, just sleep, and do that weird ‘blog’ tomorrow?
Although, Tae had to admit, sleepy Jonas was one of the cutest things he’d seen, despite the slight accidental rudeness. It was adorable.
