I'll give a Smashwords coupon for a free copy of Treacherous Moon: Agents of ISIS, Book 2 to the first person who, in this thread, identifies the author of the quote at the beginning of Natalia's speech.
And thank you, Anna, for using your truly godlike powers to bless my book. (One might almost think you're Polly or someone.) I hope everyone enjoys it.
And I'll be more than happy to do an author interview, if you'd like.

You're welcome, Stephen :-) We've got some core space opera fans members who also happen to be authors who greet newcomers, visit the community often, talk about fannish stuff with other SOF members, and in general are too polite to shriek 'buy my book, buy my book, buy my book.' I want to make sure our core membership doesn't get shoved aside.
Besides ... I'm just about finished re-reading Eternity Brigade and was looking for an excuse to continue onward with Tsar Wars. :-)

If you're having trouble with the Yiddish words, shame on you! Everyone should know some basic Yiddish expressions. It's part of living! Don't be a schlemiel.

And the author of the quote is Mark Twain, is it not?

Correctimundo, Shannon, and thanks for the great review! You win the Smashwords coupon for Treacherous Moon: Agents of ISIS, Book 2. I would be PMing it to you right now, but unfortunately my computer blew up last week, and everything's a mess here at the moment. I'll get it to you as soon as possible, promise.
Sorry about the wonky formatting; I'll look into it as soon as my computer's back in working order and I catch up on the work I've missed in the past week. (Finishing up a new book!)
As for the Yiddish words, this is the online dictionary I use: http://www.yiddishdictionaryonline.com/. Maybe I'll have to include a link in the book. BTW, the characters don't use Yiddish because they're Jewish; they do it because they're in show biz. Yiddish is the universal language of show business, you know.

You're welcome.
It's okay. Take your time. I overindulged at the used bookstore a few weeks ago so it might be awhile before I got to it anyway.
Thank you for the link to the Yiddish dictionary.

Hah!
NOBODY in this group has ever had that happen. Nope. Never. Certainly not me...
[*crosses fingers behind back*]

Overall ... I had a rollicking good time reading this story. And if you want to know more .... click through to my review :-)

A fun and entertaining read.

And if people want cheap copies of the remaining books in the series, this is a great month to get them. See my notice here.

"With humanity scattered across the galaxy on hundreds of worlds, the Empire is the only force for order across the stars. Without it, interstellar conflicts would bring chaos and billions of deaths.
But the tsar has been in a coma for five years now, and his grand-niece, the only apparent heir, is only 14 years old. In this hour of crisis, the task of preserving the Empire falls to two untrained--but far from unskilled--agents of the Imperial Special Investigation Service. Can they make a difference against the vast forces arrayed against them?"
Why not discuss the book or post links to your reviews in the thread below.
