I just finished the second book in Scott Sigler's "Infected" trilogy. It's just okay, especially when I compare it to Guillemo del Toro's series about infection, "The Strain Trilogy." Sigler's series has an interesting story line, but the focus is almost too narrow, focusing on just the virus and a few key characters, and their histories aren't fleshed out at all.
