btw I got the inspiration from reading Lord of the Flies with my class

Ralph’s Theme Song - He’s Gone
By Q

I originally designed this song about something else, but once I thought about it, Ralph’s feelings after Piggy’s death fit this song perfectly. So I changed it to fit the book, and I think if Ralph were to ever sing this, he’d sing it right at the end of the book, when he is lamenting Piggy’s death in front of the adults.

He’s gone
He’s gone
I can feel it in my soul

He’s gone
He’s gone
I can feel that dark empty hole

He’s gone
He’s gone
I can hear the water sigh

He’s gone
He’s gone
I can feel it in my…

Head
Shoulders
Knees
Toes

Spirit
Heart
Mind
Soul

I can feel it from the top
All the way down low
He’s gone
He’s gone
Could I replace him? NO!

Try as hard as you can
But don’t waste your time
He’s gone
He’s gone
Without him, I can’t make the climb

Where he used to be…

A shadow
A wraith
A ghost
Something new and dark

A hole
A rift
A tomb
The grief, like a shark

Hunting me down
It haunts me in my sleep
In the daylight, I can see
The ravager that reaps

The bloody trail it leaves
Its victims, lying dead and prone
I’m begging you, please come back
I don’t want to fall alone

there is a tune to this but it's too complicated to explain XD

When I Saw

When I saw
I cried
I died
I shattered inside

When I heard
I denied
I lied
I broke down inside

When I saw, you looked at me
Your eyes, they wouldn't leave me
When I heard, I wanted to scream
You said, you wouldn't leave me

But you did, you did
You lied to my face
Where we once shared fun times
A dark hole, in your place

I had to let you go
Let you go, let you go
I had to let you free
Let you free, let you free

Deep in the ground
Away from me
Deep within nature
Away from me

When I saw
You looked finally at peace
And then I knew
That I'd never forget you, I'd never cease

I'll cry
I'll die
I'll deny
But I won't lie

I see you in everything
Tree, plant, flower, other
I see you in everyone
Mother, father, sister, brother

I'll keep your lessons
I'll keep your memory
But your form, left behind
It's best for you and me

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments my poem to the lyrics "I need your love"

I used the beginning 2 words as the same
the bolded words are the ones in the poem. the unbolded ones in parentheses are the actual lyrics
the numbers are they syllables

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments My smiles poem

Moon

High above
Sits the cold hard moon
The round circle is full
But curves very soon

It smiles down
Harsh and cold
My face bathed in its light
Grey patches, spotted like mold

It stares down
Unforgiving and bright
My face, silver curves
Its smile, a blinding sight

It smiles down
The moon, high above
The stars, high above
The galaxy, shining love

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments Crumbled poem

Anything crumbled - a flower, a piece of paper, a person, etc.

---------

Sickness of the Heart

Stained with tears of sorrow
Seen by seers of morrow
To break a heart, all it took
Were words, read with just one look

No sticks, no stones
Nor fractured, broken bones
The only thing, dead and shattered
Was a heart, and ashes, into the wind, scattered

Was it mine?
Was it yours?
So many, settled, scores

Was it mine?
Was it yours?
There's no hope for cures

Crumpled, thrown
The seeds are sown
I am the target, you have the arrow and bow
You shot me, and killed me, and now I know

The two dates, the first, the day of birth
The day you emerged and met the Earth
But the other, the second, that one spelled death
Laid bare, quiet, cold, silent your last breath

That paper, torn in half
I can still see, your photograph
Staring out, eyes big and wide
Right before our souls and worlds collide

Sick and tired, of being me
I stumbled into the sea
You saved me, and pulled me out
But it still lingers, your dark doubt

I tried to show you, I tried I tried
But you stayed away, you shirked and shied
So that day, when you were carried away
I became sick of all the things I never got to say

Crumpled, deep in my heart
Your memory, my love, I shall never part
Crumpled, the paper in my fist
For you, my love, I shall persist

Chasing the Sun

The moon grumbles, darkening the day
Up above, haunting away
The sun shines, bright and cheerful
The prey of the moon, fast and fearful

Racing across today's wide sky
Amongst the clouds, hiding, shy
The moon, faded, but still in pursuit
Chasing sun, following same route

Winging Away

Above the dangers
Birds fly high
How I wish I could be them
Inside, I sigh

Spreading my wings
Knowing I won't fall
Hearing the bird's song
And heeding its call

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments White

How will they believe
That you've never seen
Your eyes, the color of bright snow
Your eyes, cast down so they never show

Hold your chin high
Let those colors shine
For white holds the best and worst
White, its brightness shiny and fine

White is the color of newfallen snow
Untainted by no other
White is the color of sheep's wool
How can it be compared to another?

White is the color of fresh paper
Ready to receive imagination
White is the color of whiteout and glue
Used for fixing and erasing word nations

White is clear, white is bright
White is the inner shining light
White is a fresh start, devoid of tainted spots
Ready to give you new challenges, new shots

Storms -

The storm inside
It crackles, it shakes
I must keep it in
For all our sakes

It threatens to rush out
And drown those in its path
Or throw them, to the side
Those left to face my wrath

It bursts out
Roaring a battle cry
Destructive and angry
Fed up with those who lie

It wrecks havoc
It bubbles and boils
Stewing, until the right time
Friend shakes, enemy recoils

And they have all right
To be afraid, to fear
But I hear the whispers
The ones who call out ugly, queer

I spin, and I thunder
Who do you think you are?
They cower, beneath my mighty winds
Strong enough to leave a scar

They'll never forget
And I won't too
How they hurt me, fed my storm
And spoke words that I feared were true

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments The Crow and the Dove

There's a dark hole
I'm broken, not whole
A void in my heart
You healed, but made us part

To others, we were so contrary
I wanted it all, happy or scary
To us, we thought we were meant to be
But when we did, love failed to see

See the cracks, see the breaks
Just one word, that's all it takes
See us hurtling toward our death
Send us tumbling with just one breath

Uncontrollable, our troubles grow large
Me, defending, you, leading the charge
To break me, to fix me, tell me what you want
When I left, you returned to haunt

I willed you to go
But you wouldn't, you crow
Picking me apart, bone by bone
A scavenger, feasting on what I'd thought I'd known

I thought it was love
I thought I was a dove
I thought it was true
And instead of dying, I flew

You the crow, preying on the me, the weak
Me the dove, trying to stop and plug the leak
You refused to listen, just broke straight through
I always wonder if you knew

That every flight has its end
And some broken bones never mend
It's over, not love, and now it's done
We are no longer one

Wondering Wanderer

Sometimes I wonder if we dream. Or if we exit the world of reality, only to find a different reality that exists in our heads. Sometimes, I wonder if dreaming is our actual world. If we only really exist for less than 12 hours, and by staying up at night, I am slowly killing myself. Am I dreaming, as I write this? Is this world just a figment of my imagination?

I've heard that every human being sees the world a little differently. If I were to walk the world, would the person beside me see it as I have not? Maybe our minds are making this all up, allowing for perfection in the minds of others and ruin in the mind of me. An Earth that's dying, an Earth that's time has run out for it to wander the stars.

Some say it is impossible to know. Know whether all of this is real, if our world is fake and our dreaming is the actual world. Maybe, when we all get swept up in the vacuum of time, when we all pass this world, we'll be brought into a wandering world. A world that is free to wonder in, free to wander in. A world so different from our own. My own.

And I am fated to wander. It is drawn across the stars, for me to wander until I find answers. Whether they come to me or I come to them, I will wander until I can wander and wonder no more.

Tempest Unleashed, Tempest United

Lightning leaps from cloud to cloud,
Like fish inside a pond,
Jumping, mingling, frolicking away,
Zipping together, forming the bond

Thunder watches, follows, waits,
Hidden, the predator unseen,
Loud and boisterous, he sighs and cries,
Longing for his bright queen

Cloud is happy to stay behind,
Following Lightning wherever she goes,
An admirer, a friend, a cheerleader,
Gentle breezes summoned wherever she blows

Thundercloud is different, angry, vengeful,
He pursues Cloud with malicious intent,
She wronged him, so so long ago,
But he vowed never to ever relent

Rain falls, zipping through the air,
Seeking the thrill of splashing down,
Giving her life to help the Earth,
But if carried away, she will easily drown

Hail is the sister, the colder counterpart,
Her frigid heart is hard to bear,
Beauty is within, though some might say,
Keep warm, her arrival means cold is in the air

Wind is moody, sometimes gentle or fierce,
Unpredictable, though he always loves a good storm,
Tearing up leaves, mussing up hair,
Whipping up things to differ from norm

Snow is Rain sister and twin to Hail,
She's fluffy and cold, light and wet,
But whiteouts and blizzards are no fun and games,
If you're left alone, she can be a threat

Elements combined, summoned in the air,
Swirling and twirling, together they dance,
Elegant, yet dangerous, impossible to tame,
Never will they bow to a master, not a chance!

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments Darkness Repetitive Poem

Shining in the Dark

I never knew I could feel this way
Empty
Betrayed
Empty
Played

I thought I was safe from those to come
Haters
Breakers
Haters
Fakers

I thought I could tell you what it meant
Love
Life
Love
Strife

I thought I knew the right and wrong
Good
Night
Good
Light

I thought the light could change me, break me, make me
Brave and
Strong
Brave but
Wrong

Light is right, isn't that so?
No, it
Lies
No, it
Dies

No, I became who I am because of something else
Something
More
Something
Core

It showed me how to be strong in the real way
The way of
Night
The way of
Sight

And I learned so many things
How to
See
How to
Be

I could be myself, finally, because I've faced them all
The
Worst
The
Cursed

I didn't die, but instead, I
Lived
Thrived
Lived
Revived

I don't need the light
Because I now know how to fight
Independent
Alone
Independent

My own

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 120 comments Fairytale Poem

Released into the Sky

The sky is clear
The sun is high
But deep in the woods
A princess will sigh

Locked in a tower
Away from home
Lonely and sad
Unable to roam

Who will save her?
Will I? Will you?
A prince, resplendent and bright
Comes to save her, rescue

Scaling the tower, undeterred
The sun, bright, shining down
Reaches out his hand to her
Come, let's take you away from this town

She takes it, eyes wide
He holds it, suddenly shy
Then he leaps, and soars through the air
They fly together, flying high in the sky

Skin changes to feathers
Mouth to beak
Talons from feet
Eyes sharp, prey they seek

They wing into the sky
Happy as can be
Together, saved
Loving and free

Legend

She hangs back, hidden and quiet
no one notices her, and that's how its always been
a ghost, a phantom, a legend to be told

and that's how she likes it
no one hears her but those who see
She hangs back, hidden and quiet

her heart is hardened, dark and cold
she moves with an eerie grace
a ghost, a phantom, a legend to be told

you can tell that no one buys it
when she says she has other things to do
she hangs back, hidden and quiet

the silence has her in a smothered hold
and that's how it'll always be
a ghost, a phantom, a legend to be told

and that's how she likes it
never loud, never bold
she hangs back, hidden and quiet
a ghost, a phantom, a legend to be told

That beautiful day
I was left
Not right
Left

That beautiful day
I could still see
Your footprints
See

That cold day
You walked away
From me
Away

That cold day
You, angry written on your face
Me, defeated, sad
Face

That stormy day
You left me behind
Trailing in the dust
Behind

That stormy day
Only the leftovers remained
The dregs, the remnants, the memories
Remained

That dark day
I couldn't stand
I fell, couldn't
Stand

That dark day
You ran
From me
Ran

That fateful day
What went wrong?
Me? You?
Wrong

That fateful day
The only thing left
Was to forget
Left

I'll be there?

(chorus) -->
I'll be there for you
For the ups, for the downs
I'll be there for you
For when it hurts, when it pounds

This I swear,
Swear on, my life!
This I swear,
Swear by my life!

Who was there?
When you cursed your life?
Who was there?
When it cursed you strife?

Who was there?
When you lived, when you died?
Who was there?
When you broke, when you lied?

I'll be there for you
For the ups, for the downs
I'll be there for you
For when it hurts, when it pounds

This I swear,
Swear on, my life!
This I swear,
Swear by my life!

(ending??) life (lai-e-lai-e-lai---aife)
