Can anyone tell me the name of this book

A friend told me about a novel that won a Pulitzer about a woman who left her family, found a job as a waitress and discovered a kinder gentler life that she loved.

Paula Vogel, a Pulitzer winner, has stopped working on a musical movie, Waitress. But I don't know of any Pulitzer prize winner who is now a waitress.

The author isn't a waitress. The novel that he or she wrote is about a women who worked as a waitress and the novel won the Pulitzer. Sorry that I wasn't very clear
