SOLVED. Odd horror-ish book. Reincarnation of god? [s]

Very weird book and I'm rusty on the details. I think the main character (high-school age boy) ended up being the reincarnation of some god or devil and needed to have sex with a main female character. A bunch of demons were wreaking the town I think?

I do distinctly remember the beginning of the book in which a man had several women chained in his basement. They gave birth and he tried to drown all the women and babies but the infants could swim and bit him to death?

I don't know the book, but I can tell you that in my day high school chicks were too smart to fall for the old "I'm the reincarnation of a god, take off your clothes" routine.

Yes, sadly still looking. It was a novel, not a short story.

I actually think the boy was Bacchus and the fertility aspect was why he wanted to impregnate and bed that certain girl so bad. The whole town goes nuts and the boy becomes an actual giant sized god roaming the town naked....
