Two The Hard Way isna young unpriviledged childrens novel. The main character is Travis Hunter. He lives with his grandmother and his mother doesn't live with them. He's in highschool and he's known for playing football. Travis is one of the best players at his school. His older brother is incarcerated and he has hope that he'll be home soon. He lives in Georgia, but not the good part of Georgia.
Travis has not yet been influenced by his surroundings but in my opinion later on in the book I'm sure he will be. There's alot going on around him. Drugs are being sold, his brother is incarcerated, and many other things and bad influences. Where I'm at in the book he hasn't let those things get him off track and he knows what's good for him and what's bad.
I found the pacing in this book to be very interesting. I like how I met the characters amd everything isn't hapoening too fast or slow. The writer is going at a great pace for me. The novel is wrotten in a forst person point of view and the only conflict as of now is that his older brother is incarcerated. Also that his mother isnt really in his life. I will be interested to see his mom clean up or a plot twist with her. I wonder if his brother came home wjat type of impact would it impact his life.
Two The Hard Way so far is a great book that shows people go through things but it seem like they have a perfect life. Travis is going through alot but isn't showing it or letting it control him. I think hes going to go through some things and fall off a little but in the end get back on track, and he probaly need to go through thise things for the oerson that heel become in the future.
