Ranting about nothing very interesting.

I await the return of cuneiform with some enthusiasm :-)"
It sounds way better. Just a metric craptonne better. Not sure cuneiform would be quite the same improvement. Mwahaharhgh!
I’ve done some more wittering. A bit of a rant a bit of a photo share and a bit of book stuff ... https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2021/06/06/fl...
Mwahaharhgh! Glad you two enjoyed it. It took me ages to get it going but I did finally hit on something so that's grand! :-)
Here's this week's wittering. Mostly comprising my what I'm doing post from the word count thread! https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2021/06/26/br...

One has to learn how to slide in the knife :-)
Don't get the emails - it's easier for me to just come here, read, say hi, comment where I might have a clue.

I like the idea of a lock so crude you can pick it nearly as fast as you can open it using the keyMakes losing the key a bit less fraught :-)

Yeh, and the whole different slant on keys ie that you kept them with you or you made them look like something else. Seems so bizarre set against the way locks and keys operate now.
Hope to have our travel blog up by the 24th July. It's called On The Run For Fun! Although, I have to say, my lovely wife is taking it extremely seriously!

I've done a rather long blog post this week. Indeed, it's longer than my shortest story, which is ... a little scary. You can find it here:https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2021/10/30/ad...
Also, I did one last week and that's here:

This week's blog is ready for you to um ... enjoy if that's the right word: https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2021/11/07/yes/
Alicia wrote: "They're always fascinating trips I would never have taken otherwise - you are kind to share."There have been so many of them, I just haven’t had time to type them up … I’ve missed it though. The blogs are like writing a letter to a friend so when I don’t do them it all feels a bit strange.
Really enjoyed it MT and sent to a friend, with a comment 'don't drink while reading, you might nearly choke like I did!!

A week suddenly becomes a very short time when it's the gap between blogs!

Yeh and when you write about 6k a week it makes a big hole. I was only writing on a Monday so I had to bin it for Nano and then there was just too much other stuff going on to write anything! Sill, it'll be done in two weeks.
I'm with you on the social distancing, I always try and get spaces away from people, even pre Covid. I hope that poor girl did genuinely just have a non Covid related cough, but I wouldn't have taken her out regardless, I hate coughing in public, so if I had a bad cough, I wouldn't go and have a meal out, for the benefit of the rest of the people, although given how they parked, they may not consider other people.

That said, they would probably have kicked off. They was definitely a touch of the 'we're just as good as you' chip about them.
McOther is actually at risk, but we agreed, afterwards, that if we'd moved they would have accused us of being snobby.
