Oliver ran a hand over his face. "Ill settle for a soda then." He told him, getting ul and grabbing a soda like he had earlier. He sat down across from Jake. "What? No. Jake, im not just going to flat out check him like that. Thats weird." He rolled his eyes and chugged half the soda. "Your brother is stubborn one though. Just like you were that age." He said with a laugh.

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Jake snorted, " I was never stubborn at age seventeen, that was you," Jake said as he looked down at his hands and then at the table, " You've known my brother for how many years now? I'm sure if you asked to check his wrists and stomach and legs or whatever else he could reach, he'd definitely let you check, he'd know it was my doing anyways," Jake said with a shrug. " Remember when my mom went through depression when we were younger?" Jake asked, he rubbed his hands over his face.

(( sorry, didn't have wifi for two day ))

message 53: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver smirked. "You're right. That was me." The smirk slipped from his face though when Jake began to speak again. "Are you sure about that? Just because I've known him for awhile doesnt automatically mean he would show me. He thinks that everythong he tells me will end up just coming straight back to you. Oliver was completely oblivious to any feelings that Bastille had towards him. "Yeah, I remember. You know they do say stuff like depression can be herititary."

((Thats alrigjt :) ))

message 54: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Jake frowned, " Hereditary? It must have skipped a generation then, because I never went through depression....or did I?" Jake said as he sat up completely in his seat, he didn't think he went through it. He never remembered it anyways. " Well actually, I think he would, I'm not going to give you a reason as to why, but I know he would," Jake added. " But let's forget that right now, let's just talk like old times, because lately I've been all over the place and we haven't been able to talk, you've been stuck texting and talking to my brother," Jake said.

message 55: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "I said it can be. That doesnt mean it was in this case and not everyone is going to have it doofus." Oliver gave him a funny look. Does he know something that Oliver doesnt? He would get him to spill eventually. Maybe not right now but eventually because he wanted to know now. "Hey, your brother is quite an interesting kid., but ypu are righr. We dont get to talk as much anymore. Thats one of the reasons I came over today. So, what have ypu been up to lately?" He asked as he relaxed in the chair.

Jake looked up at Oliver, " You really want to know what I've been doing lately?" Jake asked, he smiled and shook his head, " Mom is coming to visit, so I've been doing whatever I can to get the house ready and look presentable for her, and I've also been making sure Bastille has everything he needs so that I can prove to her that I can take care of both of us," Jake said with a sigh. " I've been grocery shopping downtown, I've been clothes shopping, I've been school supply shopping, God I feel like a father," Jake groaned, he let his head fall onto the table with a hard smack.

" Also how in the hell is Bastille interesting? All the kid does is sit up in the room and read a book, or he's downstairs on the couch surrounded by food while texting his friends," Jake said with a snort.

"Of course I do. I want to make sure my best friend isnt doing a bunch of stupid crap." Oliver grinned and sat up as he listened to him. "Wow, you have a lot going on right now. You know if you ever need help with anything you can call me. I took this semester off that way i can catch up with money and what not and i only live a few minutes away. " He genuinely wanted to help out.

Oliver laughed. "I dont know. He just is. " honestly he didnt know how to explain but Bastille was just interesting to him. He didnt know exactly what it was that interested him. He would have to figure that out later.

" I did do stupid shit when I was younger, but with Bastille around now, all I get is an earful of mom when I come home drunk or slightly injured," Jake muttered. " Damn kid is going to be a real great father some day, anyways thanks for the offer dude, because now you'll be driving Bastille to and from school, I don't trust him with my car anymore after he almost crashed it a year ago," Jake added.

"Yeah but now you are grown man." He reached over and pinched his cheek as he said it before laughing."Hey you only have a few years until the kid goes off to college. Then you can party all you want and you can take me with you!" He drank the rest of his soda and got up to throw the can away. "I can do that. Its on the way to the car shop anyways and i get done around the same time he finishes school." He sat back down across from him. "Wait how did he almost crash your car?"

message 62: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) (( sorry, had to clean up around the house and move things around the house ))

Jake smiled and nodded, " Great that's settled, because I have no time to do that myself," Jake answered, then chuckled. " He was driving my car to one of his friend's house and went to change lanes, but one of his friends was trying to show him something and he turned his head to look for one second, but when he looked back he had almost swerved into another car, he swerved the other way to avoid an car accident and hit a brick building," Jake explained.

message 63: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments ((Ahh so sorry about this. Never got the notification!!))

Oliver looked at him surprised. "Jeez... how bad was he injured?" He found himself becoming a little protective over Bastille. He just blamed on Jake though. Figuring it was like a brotherly intinct. Oliver himself never had any siblings so he never got the chance to be protective over a younger sibling.

message 64: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) " Pretty badly, the others were fine, but the wheel had pinned his legs against the seat and he wasn't able to get out, his friends called the fire department and it was chaos, his agonizing screams still haunt my dreams," Jake said with a shudder. " But because of that I can't let him drive ever again, he still has his license but I can never let him drive," Jake continued.

Oliver nodded "At least there wasnt any permanent damage done." Which he was greatful for. "Also, wht am i hearing about this now? You have my number you could have called me and told me this happened." He crossed his arms over his chest as he looked at him. Yeah maybe he was over reacting a little, but hey these two were family to him. He would like to know when things like that happen.

message 66: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) " Bastille told me not to call you but he never told me why and still hasn't to this day," Jake replied, " I would have called you, you know that, but my brother was injured and I didn't want to piss him off by going against his demand," Jake added.

message 67: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "Didnt want you to call me? Why?" Oliver was so confused. "What did I ever do?" This kind of made him feel bad. Did he do something wrong? Did he hurt him somehow and didnt know? Once the kid was better he was going to have to ask him a few questions. "Your brother is something else. Super confusing."

message 68: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Jake sighed softly, " You want your questions answered? Then ask Bastille, of course not right now, but why don't you stay he night and you can ask him in the morning," Jake suggested. He could hear shuffling from the room above and hoped Bastille was doing alright, " I'm going to go check on him, you stay here and do whatever, eat, drink, think, I don't care, my house is your house...literally, you practically live here," Jake said as he stood and left the kitchen.

message 69: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver nodded. "Sure, i have tomorrow off anyways. Ive worked the past 11 days and they finally are giving me a day off." Oliver stood up and walked over to the fridge when Jake left the room. He looked at what they had before deciding to make some food. He got out the stuff to make grilled cheese. Oliver was a decent cook and could cook an actually meal when he wasnt feeling lazy.

message 70: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille was walking around, looking at various things he had lying around his bedroom, he was bored and didn't feel like sitting still or laying down or anything that didn't involve moving.

He saw Jake in the doorway, " I'm fine, just bored," Bastille mumbled.

" Then go for a walk," Jake suggested.

" Too hot," Bastille answered.

" Uh...play videos games," Jake offered.

" Oliver's here," Bastille answered.

Jake groaned and walked away.

message 71: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "Im making grilled cheese anyone else want some!?" He shouted loud enough for the other two to hear him. He wondered what was taking them so long. He hoped Bastille was okay. He seemed pretty upset earlier. His comment about how Oliver had changed was still going through his head but he pushed the thought away. He had to wait until morning before asking Bastille any questions.

message 72: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Jake came back downstairs, " Yeah, Bastille will want some," Jake said knowing his brother would love Grilled Cheese, it was one of his comfort foods, Jake walked into the kitchen. " The kid is seriously stubborn as fuck," Jake muttered.

message 73: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "That he is." Oliver made enough grilled cheese for the three of them. He put one on a plate and set it at the table. "If he wanta it he'll have to come down here to eat." Oliver turned the stove off before heading upstairs. "I made you a grilled cheese but youll have to come down stairs to eat it." He told Bastille once he reached his door. "Neither your brother or I, are bringing it ul to you." With that he turned on his heels and went back downstairs to eat his own grilled cheese.

message 74: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille was sitting on his bed staring at an old childhood photo, but was disturbed when Oliver came up and told him that he'd have to go downstairs to eat a grilled cheese. Bastille sighed and waited until he knew Oliver was already downstairs, he pushed himself up and put the photo into his pocket before making his way out his bedroom and downstairs.

Jake was already eating his grilled cheese when Bastille, all red and tear faced, came into the kitchen and sat down next to Jake, resting his head against his brother's arm. Jake allowed it and watched as Bastille picked at his food and ate tiny bits of it at a time, he frowned and looked over at Oliver, whatever the problem was it was worse then he thought.

message 75: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver was leaning against the xounter, eating, when Bastille came in. His eyes followed him carefully. He noticed every little thing. It was like a super power of his. He can easily read people. "Does it taste okay?" He asked Bastille. It has been awhile since he has made grilled cheese, maybe it just tasted funny and thats why he was taking tiny bites. He knew thats not what it was though. He wanted to help, but he didnt know how.

message 76: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille looked at his food and pushed it around more, " It tastes fine," Bastille muttered, he picked up his plate and walked away from the table and kitchen, going straight for the living room where he would be able to eat in peace.

message 77: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver watched as Bastille left the room he then looked over at Jake. "Was it something i said?" He wanted to know why Bastille seemed so upset with him. He didnt think he did anything wrong. Then again Oliver can be linda thick headed sometimes. He finished his food and took care of his plate. He turned to the sink, washing the plate in silence.

message 78: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Jake sighed, " It was nothing you said," Jake assured, " Bastille just can't think before he acts!" Jake said loudly before finishing his grilled cheese in silence, anger bubbling in his head.

message 79: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "I think im just going to go. Staying over is probably not such a great idea." He turned to look at Jake before he shrugged. "Ill still come by to pick up Bastille though for school." He told him before heading out to the livingroom. He didnt even look towards Bastille.

message 80: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Jake didn't even say anything when Oliver left the kitchen, Bastille looked up and saw Oliver heading for the door, " Wait!" Bastille called out, he jumped up when he said that.

message 81: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver stopped when he heard Bastille. He shoved his hands into his pockets and turned to face him. "Yes?" He asked him with a raised eyebrow. By this point he had no idea what the male was going to say. For all he knew he was going to confess that he wanted to join the circus or something.

message 82: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) " Please don't leave," Bastille murmured, " I'm sorry I keep saying the wrong things, I'm sorry I'm not talking to either of you appropriately, I'm sorry I made it seem like you did something wrong a few moments ago," Bastille said with tears in his eyes. "Just please don't leave, don't leave me," Bastille added in a whisper.

message 83: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver had to keep himself from smiling. "Fine. I wont leave, but only under one circumstance. You cant go hide in your at all for the rest of night. At least until you decide to go to sleep." Oliver just wanted the male to do something other then sulk in his room. He wanted to help him feel better, to have a better day.

message 84: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille sighed, " Fine, I won't go hide in my room all day, but I'm not moving from this room here," Bastille said motioning to the living room with his hand, he plopped down on the couch and reached for the remote.

message 85: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "Fine." He said back. "Nevermind Jake, guess Im staying." Oliver walked over and sat down on the other side of the couch. "Wanna play a video game?" He asked Bastille. It has been a super long time since Oliver has had the chance to relax and play vodeo games and stuff.

message 86: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille shrugged, " Sure why not," Bastille said as he stood up and went over to the case of video games that contained a hundred games from the years.

message 87: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver smiled a tiny bit. He got up and grabbed two controllers. He set one on the coffee table for Bastille and hesat down down with the other one. "What game are we playing?" He asked curiously. He knew how to play probably about every game that they had in this house. He use to come over to play all the time.

message 88: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille shrugged, " No idea, haven't picked one yet," Bastille answered as he looked through the games.

message 89: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "Whats that one game we use to play all the time. The one I use to kick your butt in?" Oliver smirked. He could remember if it was mario kart or what it was. It was some sort of racing or fighting game. Whatever it was he decided to tease Bastille about it to lighten the mood.

message 90: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille snorted, " You mean the game I always let you win at? I honestly forgot what it was, but we are definitely not playing that game," Bastille answered as he chose a weird Chinese fighting game. " Thank the gods for English captions," Bastille said as he came over to the tv.

message 91: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "You what? You were holding back on me?" Oliver couldnt help but laugh. "Well no holding back during this game. Although you are probably going to beat me to a pulp. I played this game like once." Oliver leaned back on the couch and got settled.

message 92: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille gave Oliver the finger and then came over and sat beside him, " You bet your fucking ass I'm going to beat you in this game, I rock at this game," Bastille said with a smirk.

message 93: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver made a cat noise when he flipped him off. "Someones being feisty." Oliver looked over at him with a grin. "I cant wait." He glanced at him and then at the tv screen. He was fully prepared to loose but that was alright with him as long as Bastille was having fun.

message 94: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille snorted, " I'm not feisty, I'm sexy," Bastille answered before turning the controller on, he leaned back against the couch, and subconsciously leaned his head onto Oliver's shoulder.

message 95: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments Oliver just raised an eyebrow at his comment, not saying a word. He glanced at him when he rested his head on his shoulder. He didnt mind though. If anything he welcomed it. "How exactly do you play this game again? Im never able to read the subtitles fast enough."

message 96: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille smiled, he looked up at Oliver, " These are new controllers, so the buttons are all mixed up and do different things, X is punching, Triangle is kicking, Square is head butting and the circle is the drop down menu for other fighting moves," Bastille answered.

message 97: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "New? I didnt even notice." He looked down at the controller and made sure to pin point each button as he pointed it out. He repeated it in his head a few times before nodding. "Okay, i think I got it." Heblooked over at Bastille with a smile.

message 98: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille nodded, " Ready to get your was whopped in this game then?" Bastille asked as he shifted his entire body, he positioned his head on Oliver's shoulder so that he could actually play the game and be comfortable at the same time.

message 99: by ~ Devine ~ (new)

~ Devine ~ | 708 comments "You bet your ass I am." Oliver said with a laugh before he got ready to play. He took one last glance at Bastille before the game had started. He tried his hardest to do some f the moves but gave up and moved to button smashing. Something he did greatly all you had to do was push random buttons and hope for the best.

message 100: by j a m m e s (new)

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Bastille began posting the buttons he was familiar with and normally won the game with, occasionally he looked up at Oliver and shook as his head when the older male began button smashing. Using a few moves from the drop down menu, he tried his best to take out Oliver's character.

Jake came out of the kitchen to check on the two, expecting them to either be talking quietly or sleeping, but was surprised when he found Oliver and Bastille playing some Chinese fighting game with English subtitles. He sorted before deciding to tell them what he had first came in here to tell them, " Will you guys be okay if I went to Work? They're sorry of handlers at the animal adoption center and I was called in," Jake said as he came to stand behind the couch. He had also been surprised when he walked in and saw Bastille's head on Oliver's shoulder.
