My only advice is to keep reading the book as much as possible. If you can do it for one sitting the better! Usually in fantasy, there are lots of events and plot twists happening so sometimes it would be hard to catch up if you don't read them continuously.
Although it doesn't affect the plot of SoC, I still think and recommend that you read the Grisha trilogy if you find reading fantasy books difficult. Once you've read them, you'll easily relate some concepts found in SoC from the Grisha trilogy. (Better be sure than to keep guessing!)
Have fun reading the books!
I personally would recommend that you read the Grisha Trilogy before Six of Crows. It's not mainly for the plot or additional information, but more that I feel like the Trilogy was written a bit more simply than SoC, and it'd help to get you more comfortable with Bardugo's writing. Hope this helps! :-)

1. english is my second language to, and at first it was harfor me to read espacially fantasy because i think the authors "invent" many words but the more i read i manged to figure it out.
2. u can read SoC without the trilogy first, but if u loved the first book i think it's best if you finish those books first. that's what i did

Pd: thank you so much everyone! I will try to fin a way to read SoC and CK!
