Sweet, I'll add a folder and shelf.

The Divine Cities is finished - best ending possible.
I am tackling Bane and Shadow now so I can move the series in the "up-to-date" folder. And I cannot wait to start with The Republic of Thieves so I can move it to the "up-to-date" folder.
In July I will start 5 new series which have already a cadence but I will open a Pandora vase!

I have added four series:
The Farseer trilogy (1/3)
The Traitor's Son Cycle (1/4)
The Draconis Memoria (1/2)
The Trials of Apollo (1/2)
I made some progress though on the open series and I should be able to close a couple - or at least be updated on some.
Now that I look at how many open series I have I am getting stressed out about starting something new!

Anyway I hope to see you for the other farseer books in the future

I can't take credit for that. Someone else came up with the idea and we all followed suit.
Great job.

Thanks Ahdam! I am on a roll right now and I am starting too many series. But I will keep the momentum going, I had a huge reading slump in March through May so I am certainly taking advantage of my recent reading strong will!

Then I will retract my credit and credit the brains behind the idea (anonymous!).
Thanks for the support though! In one of my random eye opening moments, I realized how incredibly supporting and encouraging this group is. A rare trait to find in real life communication, even more in an more anonymous setting like social media platforms.
So allow me to thank you all for your awesomeness!
And we are better to have you in our group :) I've seen nothing but genuine kindness from you. It doesn't go unnoticed Aristea

Thanks Margret, you made my day! :D
Let's say it this way: The group is perfect for me and I feel at home and welcome at all times - so it encourages the best (hopefully) version of me to be available!

I love seeing progress reports Aristea. Great work. I keep starting series as well. Haha I keep getting recommended so many great ones.
I agree the group is so supportive and it feels wonderful when people take an interest in what you are reading and give you that push to carry on with a series.
I'm so looking forward to moving Gentleman Bastards into the up to date category as well!

I am up-to-date for The Gentlemen Bastards and Empire of Storms!
Thanks for the support guys!

Nice. How was book two of Empire of Storms?

This is significantly slower but it has very important revelations. I made a parallel to a chess game: this is the book that prepares for (hopefully) awesomeness in book 3.
Plus, it maintains the interesting over the top description and characters!

Cool, thanks.

Cool, thanks.

My hands are now itching to start The First Law series. Somehow it is a series I did not start just yet but I want to immerse myself into.
I am torn because I do not want to start a new series (also considering that we are about to start The Broken Earth) yet I feel like I am missing something in not reading the First Law series. I might veer towards books that allow to close series I have open right now but I am having a difficult time not starting the series. A lot of restrain!

How cool is that.
Also who wrote the first law series. I might enjoy it also.
Of course I'm basing it on the simple fact that we both enjoyed the green rider books

So I made progress on October Daye (I read up to #4) - but this is mostly going to be a filler for all my reads and it is so quick to go through. I am also close to complete the re-read of Fool Moon.
I also made progress on the Farseer Trilogy. I need to decide when to start reading book #3.
I also re-read The Way of Kings so I am read for Words of Radiance when the group resumes the reads.
Also, I started WoT - yes, I am good at starting new stuff but bad in trying to complete series - mostly because I want to try to read the series with FBR! It usually helps me consistently read and conclude series!
I also decided to put series on hold. I have interest in reading them but I have too many series open, so I need to focus on some right now. So I tried to make some space to focus on those I can finish quickly. Some, like ASOIAF and Malazan will return soon to the on-going list because of FBR reads. Others, I am interested in the series but I do not have enough time to focus on everything.
Also, we are starting brand new series in September so I need to make order in my list and set priorities!

I loved City of Stairs but I thought City of Blades is the same book under a different title. Plus, I missed Shara. Now I'm kind of scared I will hate City of Miracles.

I actually found that City of Miracles was by far the best in the series. I am looking forward to knowing your opinion on it though! Let me know!!

I loved Bane and Shadow and also agree with you that City of Miracles was by far the best in that series.

I moved the Invisible Library to the updated section.
I also made progress in the Green Rider, the Broken Earth and the Greatcoats.
And I started the The Licanius trilogy (of which 2 books are out).
I also decided to park the WoT reading. I am not too invested in the first book so I will jump onto it when the group will make a re-read of the series! Hopefully when I will have less cluster on my list!
And I moved the Trials of Apollo to the future reads at this point because the second book is really not inspiring me to read (and that is very unusual).

Thanks Scott! Being on holiday helped with the progress though - and in the last days I did not feel like reading much either. I just need to get back into the routine!

Incredibly satisfying too! Now I am back to normal - and I have a slight reading slump. Scary considering the amount of books I want to read!

I finished the Broken Earth trilogy!
I also made progress and I am updated with the Licanius Trilogy and the Legends of the First Empire.
I made progress on October Daye and I am currently reading Words of Radiance.
I opened and progressed on Tiger and Del (I am about to finish book #3) and I started The Dandelion Trilogy (and I already own book #2, so it's a matter of starting reading it).
All in all, I feel like I have been disciplined. I just need to continue (for instance, I really want to finish the Farseer Trilogy and the Green Rider series before the end of the year since I want to start so many new good reads next year). Let's see how this progresses!

Thanks Melissa! Quite frankly I think this is more an accident than voluntary. I ended up in a reading slump and I did not read at all for a couple of weeks. I think this is what saved me from going in the wrong direction!

I finished the Farseer Trilogy - yet the series is not even close to the end.
I am updated on the Stormlight archive.
I also made progress on October Daye and Tiger and Del!
I also added a new series, the Chronicle of the exile and I might just read through it soon.
I am also currently reading Empire of Storms #3 and Greatcoats #3 (and I might push myself to continue with Greatcoats #4 to complete the series).
At this point, I need to finish a couple of the series I have opened before I start new ones. I have a bunch on my desk, including A song of fire and ice and I will re-open the Malazan pandora box in January with the group!

I finished two series (one with only one book but it was worth it)
The Shadow Campaigns by Django Wexler
The Chronicle of the Exile by Marc Turner
I also made progress with 2 books in the Tiger and Del series (in a couple of weeks, I should be able to move this series in the completed list).
I am also considering resuming the Demon Cycle series. I am also about to start the Traitor's Son series (with FBR). I think I will spin out of control with new series but I feel like I have caged myself too much in the last months with this process and lost a bit of reading appetite. Let's see if this will help over all!

As for starting new series... I started 18 so far in 2018! If you feel bad about it, you can always tell yourself that I'm worse lol ;)
I too was forcing myself to finish some series before I could start new ones... Ended up not being exited to read anymore :o
I abandoned some series, put others on hold and I'm now happily spinning out of control :D
Oh, and there's a BR for the Demon Cycle later this year.

As timely as I usually am (apologies!) when reading comments, I am glad to read that I am not the only one who feels less excited about stories when they become a chore (having to finish a series vs feeling free to start as many new ones as one likes)!
I might wait for the Demon Cycle BR later in the year. I really want to finish the series, I really enjoyed the first book!
