Fiction, read in the 70s by my mother who thinks it was probably written in that time period too. Book is about a dying woman remembering her childhood during a war in (probably South) Africa.
Title might have something to do with a dragon or a mosquito coil :)

She says it was an adult fiction book. Main character is dying in the hospital and the book is her remembering her life when she was younger in South Africa during a war. Apparently something about a man she loved too who died. She is sure there's something about a tiger and mosquito coil. I thought it might be The Grass is Singing by Doris Lessing, but she didn't think it was that one.
I also found that there are mosquito coils that are made by a brand called Lion-Tiger and Moon Tiger.

Oh and I think I must have just found it! It's called Moon Tiger.
