"Alright." Nico nodded. He ordered a burger and fries. "Good to know I'm not the only one who does stuff like that. You're about 65% of my impulse control... So you being gone has been difficult."

Derrian cocked a brow but didn't say much. "I hardly ever see you do something impulsive despite your speeches on doing such things," he pointed out, taking up a roll and tearing a piece off. He popped it in his mouth, giving a light shrug. "But hey, you do you," Derrian stated.
Nico rolled his eyes. "As I said. You're my impulse control." He commented. Nico pushed up the left sleeve of his jacket and showed Derrian a tattoo he'd gotten recently. It was still healing but looked pretty good. ( http://nextluxury.com/wp-content/uplo... )
Both of Derrian's brows rose and he took another piece of bread from the roll. "Well, that's something. It's a nice piece though," he complimented, nodding slightly.
Nico smiled brightly. "Thanks. I was gonna wait for you to come with me but then we weren't talking....." He commented softly, biting his lip.
Derrian nodded in understanding. If he had a tattoo to show if, he would. But considering he didn't belong to any pack of Vampires, he didn't have one. Derrian had a branding on his side from when he was a young vampire and older ones had taken him a tortured him. But that was it.
Nico smiled faintly and nodded. He grabbed a roll and tore off a chunk, eating it. He tried to figure out something to talk about with Derrian, not wanting it to be silent.
(It's alright. I get that we all have lives outside of here. Do I need to edit my reply or something to make it better for you to reply to?)
(Sorry about that. Here's a different reply that might work better. ) Nico bit his lip, thinking for a moment. "Do you believe in supernatural stuff Derrian? Like vampires, faeries, demons, all that stuff?" He asked curiously. One of the new students who'd joined his class seemed really into that kind of stuff, or at least in telling stories about it. That probably was because that guy was a vampire that was after Derrian but that was beside the point currently. Nico watched Derrian as he waited for an answer, tearing off a piece of a roll and popping it into his mouth
Derrian cocked a brow and shrugged slightly. "I've never really thought about it, honestly. So no, I guess," he answered. "But if anything were to actually exist, I think it would probably be vampires. Out of the three creatures you just listed, vampires would probably have the most human-like qualities so they could blend in with the public," Derrian replied, now curious if Nico believed in any of it. He hoped that maybe he did and if he ever revealed himself, he knew that Nico had at least a basic understanding of what would be happening.
Nico shrugged. "Alright. You do have a fair point with the vampire thing though I guess..." He remarked. "Except I think it'd vary on your interpretation of the creature. Because for all we know, demons or whatever other creatures could look quite human and have ways to blend in for a time. Maybe faeries exist and they just have slightly pointed ears or something.." He thought aloud.
Derrian nodded. "That is true. So I guess my answer is I don't know. There is no evidence that any of those things truly exist," he finished, taking a drink of his water. He sat back. "Is there anytime in particular that you think exists?" Derrian asked him. ((Sorry it's short. I'm in school.))
Nico shrugged. "I dunno. I think it entirely possible that all of them exist. Just haven seen proof quite yet. Maybe someday or something." He commented, unsure. "I think faeries would be the least likely to exist though. They're the most unclearly described and therefore difficult to prove. But vampires or something seem kinda likely...."
"Honestly, when was the last time you ever saw a bite mark on a person. And faeries depend on where you live. Fae folklore is strong in the Southern Isles as well as Scotland and Ireland," Derrian stated as he sat back while the waitress placed their food in front of them. "Thank you. Here, vampires are more prevalent because of an instance back during the colonies. That folklore is what is best recognized in America. So it just depends." Derrian gave his little speech. He knew more than most because he had, clearly, been alive longer than most. But thankfully, it just made him look educated.
(Sorry! Must've missed the notification.) Nico shrugged. "Not recently. But just how do you know so much about fae folklore?" He asked curiously. Nico thanked the waitress and took a bite of food as he listened to derrian. He nodded. "I guess that makes sense.." He shrugged, biting his lip.
Derrian gave a slight shrug. "I read up while I was in college," he answered briefly. "I'm not really sure if any of it exists. I think it just depends on a lot of things you can't keep track of all at once," Derrian ended, beginning to eat his food after his little lecture on mystical beings. Which he knew at least one of them existed.
Nico rolled his eyes. "Seems like a bit of an off subject for you but alright then." He stated. "I guess if I get bit by a vampire or kidnapped by the fae or something, I'll let you know so you can analyze." He teased, unaware of how Derrian likely would be a bit bothered by that. Nico fell quiet for a bit and started eating.
Derrian gave a reluctant laugh and smile but he couldn't hide all of the pain in those actions. He wasn't hurt by what he said but just the thought of that happening to him was not a pleasant thought. He rubbed his forehead like he had a headache and didn't say anything. Derrian finally began to eat but what little appetite he had had worked up was gone.
Nico ate quietly for a moment. Noticing how Derrian reacted to his comment, he frowned a bit. "Hey. You alright? Did I say the wrong thing or something?" He asked, biting his lip nervously.
