Cloven hoofed race flees in starship as well. Change to not too distant future; 21st century an illegal or semi-legal test of a starship goes awry( impact on gravity well of asteroid) and earth ship is flung into the middle of the war between the two ancient earth races and somehow end war or help Mu win.
