Hi Debs, I guess I'm changing partners. So here are my choices for you.

The Poisonwood Bible The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver This one is on my to be read list. I bought a used copy at the library and it's on my shelf.

The next two books I read myself and liked them.
The House I Loved The House I Loved by Tatiana de Rosnay

The Physick of Deliverance Dane The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe

Enjoy Linda

Debs | 8 comments Linda

My choices for you are:

A Discovery of Witches A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness , in celebration that the third and final book of the series will be released in July. It is also one of my favorite books.

The following two selections have been on my book shelf way too long. I hope we both enjoy them. :)

The Street of a Thousand Blossoms The Street of a Thousand Blossoms by Gail Tsukiyama

Daughter of Fortune Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende

Enjoy!

Bettina, in another group I'm in, someone else recommended two of the three that you picked for me! I hope to get them both finished before this quarter is over. It was Confessions of a Shopaholic and The Cellist of Sarajevo, by the way.

Thanks for the picks sorry it took me so long to get back! Can't wait to start! Here our your picks!

Hi Sandra,

I started to read The Iron Daughter a number of weeks ago but decided I would put it away until it warmed up here more. My reason for this was that I found Julie Kagawa's description was so vivid that I was feeling colder and colder the more I read it when I was trying to get warm. LOL. I've never had a book make me feel that way before. So I'll probably pick it up again next month instead.

Linda "The Book Lady" Warner | 98 comments Ok Debbie Now you have me hooked. I read Discovery of Witches and had to go to the library to get the second book in the trilogy. The third will be a while a new book with holds ahead of me, I am reading your second choice. The Street of One Thousand Blossoms.

message 69: by Tina (new)

Tina (tinaleetlc) | 14 comments I read Graceling and I am the Messenger. I liked them both. Graceling was a fun read with a strong female character. I even enjoyed the fantasy aspects and I usually stay away from that genre.
I am the Messenger was thought provoking and I thought the unconventional ending was powerful.
Thanks for the challenge.
