ARCHIVE Team Challenge: UNO 2017

I'm beginning to feel a little better each day, but being ill is tiring lol. So not going to push myself to much. Only a few more days before starting.
Yes I'm excited!! It's been killing me to not read any bold before the 1st because I want them to count for the challenge!

I'm trying to finish one, but I have 2 others ready to start, & one is on audio. I have so much driving to do tonight & hate that I can't get going on it!

I decided to push through my two audiobooks to finish before the challenge
I just realized my autocorrect changed books to bold! Sorry about that, I mostly use my phone for commenting here.I have a lot of studying to use so I'm trying to use these days to study as much as I can but reading class notes is not as fun as reading a new book for sure!
I usually don't do audiobooks, but I'm starting a new job next week and it's about 30 minutes further of a commute than I've had previously. I figured that would be a great way to fill in all of that extra road time & perfectly timed for this challenge!
That sounds like a good idea! I've always wanted to try an audio book but never have.. I feel like I am too anxious and my mind wanders too much for me to focus on the book.I started some guided meditations lately so maybe that will help me get used to hearing and following along.
If anyone has any audio book recommendations I'm all ears!

The Sun Is Also a Star and The Lovely Reckless are both great on audiobook
Avid Reader and Geek Girl wrote: "The Sun Is Also a Star and The Lovely Reckless are both great on audiobook ..."I'll have to try The Sun Is Also a Star on audio at some point then.

Thanks! I will check them out :)
I'm a recent convert to audio books. I'm currently listening to the Hunger Games and really enjoying. As I know the story it doesn't matter if my mind wanders :) The narration on Harry Potter is brilliant and I also recently enjoyed Enders Shadow (which was a new story to me).I like to listen when I'm driving.
Kyle wrote: "Glad your kitty is okay ^_^, I agree Crowley is awesome although I like Castiel the most. I like how he is clueless to everything and is like a little kid when he finds something new haha."Castiel is pretty good too. I'm pretty sure that if either one of them left the show I couldn't watch it anymore, or at least, it wouldn't be as good lol.
Danielle, I am glad you are doing better! :) Being ill for two or three days is one thing but if it starts to linger that's when it starts to really get you down. I have never tried audio books. I'm afraid I would get too distracted and lose focus. Then I'd have to listen to it all over again, lol.
I'm really ready to start reading the books I have picked out but I am doing good and waiting for the challenge to start. I have my book pillow, book light, and bookmarks all set :P The books are just sitting there calling my name!
Oh, and a update on my cat: he is doing better today. He can move is back feet a little bit and he is more like himself. He now has to be on heart medication to keep from getting blood clots. However, the vet said he can come home tomorrow so I am relieved that he is making a good enough recovery to be able to come home!
That's great Ashley. So happy to hear he's doing better and you can get him home. My cat is a frequent flyer at the vet and absolutely hates it.
Just over 16 hours to go everyone!! Not long now.I'm going to be spending this evening frantically trying to finish my current read so I'm ready to go in the morning :)
I think I own about 4 or 5 of Snyder's books but have to admit I haven't read any of them yet Danielle.

I started The Dumb House, will update the tracking sheet when I finish since I am just seeing the character names now and I can see some will fit for some cards!
Finished The Dumb HouseI believe its the most disturbing book I have ever read...very interesting but very perverse!
Hi, I had a question. I read a short story from an anthology, and because it is an e-book, I don't know the exact page count. Should I wait until I finish the entire anthology before recording it, just to err on the side of caution?
A beautiful summer storm just started so I'm sitting by the window getting some fresh air and listening to the rain! Perfect time to start a new book, I'll be reading Devoted now.. will probably take me a few days, I really need to study!
Simmi wrote: "Hi, I had a question. I read a short story from an anthology, and because it is an e-book, I don't know the exact page count. Oh I won't be reading much more for the next week or so.. maybe one more book or two! So I tried to read as much as I could yesterday.I need to focus on the exams right now! But I am so tempted to just continue reading haha I have a lot of books I want to read!
Haha putting me to shame too! I've gotten started on my audio book but still have about 6 hours to go, so I probably won't finish that until this weekend. Hoping my Kindle book will go a little faster.

Can you post the link I couldn't find it
Romina wrote: "How was it Ashley? I've been wanting to read that book"It was pretty good. Cody trying to understand what happened to Meg definitely keeps you reading. I didn't care much for the ending. I thought it was going to be better but it wasn't necessarily bad though. It just turned out the way I thought it would. There wasn't any big surprise ending for me.

Question about the challenge, some of the books I plan on reading dont have the characters/location listed on their goodreads page, do they still count ..."
Romina, that's ok we can still use it for a card even if the character or location isn't listed on the GoodReads page. As long as the character is in some way significant to the plot and the location is where the majority of the book is set it'll be fine. Just make a note of the names and let us know what they are either here or on the tracking sheet.
