ARCHIVE Team Challenge: UNO 2017

Team Mark Watney
I can't wait for the last book! That's the bad part about a series. Waiting for the next book to come out, lol. I love the fact that SJM has novellas for this series. I haven't read them yet but really want to. I didn't know about the catwoman story, though! That's amazing, lol. If it's anything like Throne of Glass it will be great.
Hi guys! Just wanted to drop by and say "hi" and "have fun!" to former teammates =) to those of you new to UNO; be careful, it is easy to get addicted;)

It came out today, and I'm really excited because I love that author so much.

I've only been in three others, but Wobble was by far my favorite! I did the ATW challenge and an Olympic one, but both of them drove me crazy because of the slow pace.
Tuna was my hubs kitty before we got married, so I can't take credit for that one. His name is "Big Tuna" after someone in The Office I think?
Norbert was mine from before & named after the dragon in Harry Potter. We got Mac after we got married & I like to say Mac is short for "Kitty McKitterson", but my husband FIRMLY disagrees with that. :)

I'll need to add one to my TBR.

Has anyone read
?I was doing my daily scout around Amazon to see what bargains there are (am I the only one who does this?) and I spotted it was going cheap. I've seen some reviews but they seem to be either 1 star or 5 stars which makes me think it's a love or hate thing.

No, but it looks interesting! Let me know what you think of it if you read it.
Alison wrote: "Has anyone read

That does sound interesting. Let me know what ya think. I think I will add it to my wtr list for sure. I usually use amazon, barnes and noble and ibooks to compare prices. Also BookBub is an excellent source for finding discounted ebooks. They will send you a daily or weekly (depending on your preference) email with a list of different books and it will tell you which ebook retailer you can buy it from :)
I love bookbub. I wait patiently every day for my email of bargains :) I also have a wish list set up on Amazon of the books I want to read but am waiting on dropping in price. If I'm splashing out on a hardback it's book depository. For some reason YA books tend to be paperback in the UK so that's about the only place you can get them.
Please welcome new team member Romina!(view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Hi everyone! I'm Romina, just got assigned to the team, thanks for the welcome!
I'm 22, from Uruguay and a few months away from getting my degree in speech-language pathology and audiology(hopefully!!)
I enjoy all types of books, specially crime and murder novels. It's my first time participating in UNO so im really excited!
Looking forward to getting to know you all a little better!
I will check out the spreadsheets in a minute!
Thanks!Question, in the tracking sheet we are putting the books we plan on reading in February right? And which cards they would work for?

Yes
Hi all, how's everyone doing?Got anything exciting planned for your last weekend of freedom before Uno begins?
Getting well, hopefully. I've been unwell the last few days, so hoping over the weekend I'll start getting better.
Aerial yoga?? That sounds brilliant. I think I saw it on Australia's Next Top Model. Is that where you dangle from bands hanging from the ceiling?
Sorry to hear you've been ill Danielle. At least you can take it easy over the weekend and hopefully feel better.
Alison wrote: "Aerial yoga?? That sounds brilliant. I think I saw it on Australia's Next Top Model. Is that where you dangle from bands hanging from the ceiling?"Yes!! I read a tweet about a girl I went to school with doing it and I looked into it. We're driving over 2 hours to the closest studio to try it out!!
✼Danielle✼ wrote: "Getting well, hopefully. I've been unwell the last few days, so hoping over the weekend I'll start getting better."Feel better soon Danielle!
I can't really do on the ground yoga but I'd love to try aerial. It does look fun. You need to let us know how it goes, if you don't get stuck ;)
Haha I will for sure! I did yoga all through college and loved it, but just got back into it a few months ago. Will definitely be interesting to see if I fall or break a bone tomorrow!
Aerial yoga sounds like fun! I always wanted to try out yoga but haven't gotten the chance year! Good luck, hope it goes well!Danielle I hope you get better!
As for me I'm planning to finish the book I'm currently reading over the weekend!
I just want to say that during the first two weeks of February I won't be able to be extremely active because I have exams on the 13th and 16th. But after that I have nothing else to do! I will be reading of course just maybe not as much as I should! I will make up for it after the 16th!!
I think I'm going to take it easy and do some reading too Romina. I just finished Traitor to the Throne a couple of hours ago (it was really good) but I managed to get a copy of Caraval yesterday so can't wait to start that. I don't usually read two fantasy books back to back but that's what I'm in the mood for.
What are you reading at the moment?
Caraval sounds really interesting! I don't read much fantasy but that book sounds good, let me know how you like to!I'm currently reading The Killing Game, it's a thriller.. pretty interesting so far,I'm about 1/3rd through.. has some point of views and characters that I don't really care about but I'm hoping they will contribute more to the story!
I've read The Killing Game I think (hostage situation in a Hollywood Restaurant?). I enjoyed it. It's pretty fast paced but I know what you mean about some of the characters.
Avid Reader I probably shouldn't be starting something new but I can't resist. I'll just need to devote my weekend to finishing it :)I'm listening to the audio of Catching Fire at the moment so I suspect that will carry over. Audio books take me weeks to finish.
Yeah that's the one Alison! I'm on my phone so I can't quote! I'm enjoying it, it's very hard to put down!I have three books ready for UNO so I'm trying to hold off resting those until after the 1st! But I'm anxious to start!
Aerial yoga sounds awesome. I can't even do regular yoga though, lol. I have seen it on tv and it looks amazing but difficult. I'd definitely break something lol. I hope you get better Danielle! Rest and relax!
I'm probably going to start a book tonight. I need to take my mind off of our cat. He wasn't feeling well so I took him to the vet. He had an infection so it was easily treatable but then before I could pick him up, he had a stroke at the vets office. So now my weekend is going to be a long one of waiting to see what happens with him. The stroke was a random thing. Luckily, he was already at the vets.Anyway, that's probably what I am going to be doing this weekend.
On a more upbeat note, I don't know if any of you watch Supernatural but it finally came back on after a month. So now I can spend my Thursday nights watching it, lol.
Oh no Ashley! I hope your kitty is okay! Mine has had 3 overnight vet visits so I know how stressful it can be! Thank goodness he was already at the vet :(
Ashley, I hope your kitty and you both get trough this. It's hard to not have your pet with you, but at least you know he's safe as can be.
Thanks guys! Yeah, were are hoping for the best. Knowing he is in good, safe hands makes it better. I'm so glad he was already there when it happened because he got the care he needed right off the bat so that will help. Kyle, my favorite character is Crowley. I like Sam and Dean but Crowley's sarcasm is the best, lol. And for some reason he is the sanest one out of the bunch it seems like.
Ashley. Sorry to hear about your kitty. It's awful when anything happens to them. I hope he's doing better today.

I finished the book I was reading! So now no more books until the challenge starts!I also created a study schedule for the exams so I will be more organized(hopefully) and be able to get a few hours of reading every day!
He is doing okay. He is in stable condition but he is very drugged up. He is at least more comfortable today than the previous days so that gives me hope. We will just have to wait and see which is the hardest part but he is better there than at home with us. Thank you guys for your kind words and support. It means a lot ☺️
I am so glad! Hope he continues to improve!Question about the challenge, some of the books I plan on reading dont have the characters/location listed on their goodreads page, do they still count for the cards?
Ashley wrote: "He is doing okay. He is in stable condition but he is very drugged up. He is at least more comfortable today than the previous days so that gives me hope.
