Wow! I cannot believe she would say something like that out in the open. She must not know the true meaning and know how many lives were cost on that day. "Never forget." Is what everyone says it is symbolic and a reminder. Sadly my history teacher did not do the lesson on 9/11, I was sad because I always like to hear about the brave souls and feel so sorry for the ones that could not handle it. This topic is very serious and should be taken that way.
That is an interesting story and I thank you for sharing your true opinion. Sometimes it is harder for people to just let go and the past may be in the past but it is our history. The past is what makes this country beautiful today, it is like moments in your life, regretting them(they make you who you are today, learning from mistakes).
