The fourth entry in the series around Secret Service Agents turned PI Sean King and Michelle Maxwell centers around the kidnapping of the US President's niece. As she is held in rural Alabama, the backstory of the different protagonists is slowly revealed and we learn the tangles reaching back over 13 years that led to the current situation. It introduces some interesting characters, an ingenuous plan and is nicely paced. In a side plot, the personal relationships of King and Maxwell develop new angles as Michelle's mother is killed which triggers upheavals on the personal front.
I listened to book three in this series and remember really enjoying it. Because of that and your review I just added the rest of the series to my TBR.
