The Great Gatsby question

Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm looking for a book, for like 3 months. It's about a prostitute who lives in Paris, somewhere like 1600. After she sleeps with her customers she keeps them in a secret room and force them to tell her their deepest and darkest secrets. She writes every secret in a notebook. I think the book it's pretty old and like a journal. If you know the title please let me know. Thank you in advance.
