Hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and a happy new year!! Wishing you all the very best that 2017 has to offer. And I also hope you had a chance to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and experience the magic of that addition to the galaxy far, far away!!!

We are in the middle of reading through the novelization by Alexander Freed and I have to say, I'm really enjoying it!! There are some things that felt rushed in the film that really are allowed to breath in the book, though that's usually the case, isn't it!

Next month we will be diving into Star Wars: A New Hope. The beginning of it all!! And as it's a new year, I"m sure we're going to have tons of new book announcements coming out of the House of Mouse/ Disney Story Group. As I learn of them I will add them to our timeline so we know what's coming.

One to look forward to in April is Thrawn!! Very excited about that one. Any books you're looking particularly forward to reading in 2017? (Doesn't necessarily have to be Star Wars books)

Stay Nerdy!
-Liz

Being a Star Wars fan all my life, this has become the Golden Age of Star Wars for me. I look forward to reading new books such as Thrawn among countless others. May the Force be with us . . . always!

Love to hear that, Grady!! I'm really enjoying new canon. I was skeptical at first (I'm a huge Thrawn trilogy and Mara Jade fan, love Anakin, Jacen and Jaina too!!) But I'm enjoying the trajectory and story telling.
Very pumped to read Thrawn next month!!! I'm just happy to have as much Star Wars in my life as humanly possible!!

I was skeptical at first with the new Canon, but as I read and watched it unfold, I realized it had a lot less contradictions than Legends. I am very pleased with this.
