Reading the latest from Erin Lee Daniels
20% done so far and must say it's great so far! Very atmospheric :)
My new novel, FOR THE LOVE OF ETHAN, will be published in July, and I would appreciate an advance reader who would be willing to review it. Here's a brief description:Delainie Franklin is a devoted mother whose ordinary life runs smoothly — until Ethan, her ten-year-old son, becomes ill. Delainie and her husband, Joel, must not only face the challenges of Ethan’s uncertain future but also survive events that test their family bonds. How far will a mother go to save her son? Delainie must make that agonizing decision.
I would be willing to reciprocate as long as your deadline isn't until after July 4.
I finished The Master by Dora Ilieva last night - what a great read! I highly recommend it. Here's my review: The Master is an enthralling amateur sleuth mystery set in Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Italy.
When a gifted archaeology student working at a Starbucks in Canada is offered the opportunity to help find an important manuscript in her native Bulgaria, she jumps at the chance to work in her field. Little does she know her search will bring both her and her friends in mortal danger.
The search Kossara and her friends embark on through archives, churches, historical ruins and cities all across Europe, is well conceived and believable. The secrets they uncover are exciting and engaging.
The author’s writing style, descriptions and cast of university age characters are well suited for both young adults (teenage) and adult readers.
I also enjoyed traveling through the Balkans, an area I want to visit. This was a lovely introduction to the region by an author who has clearly visited the places she describes and is able to convey them to the readers in a way that takes us along for the ride, as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story, setting, characters mystery and research. It is a fascinating, gripping read that kept me up way past my bedtime! I highly recommend this novel to mystery fans of any age. I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

Very recently I read Carole Roman's If I were you and Lived in Australia. A great book and just one in a whole series. I left a favourable review on Goodreads. Brydie
Currently reading Alex R Carver's A Perfect Pose (pre-release)
Brit Lunden's Bulwark. (Radish Fiction)
R.L Jackson's Sunrise Tonight (Radish Fiction)
Get me reading three books at a time! All very enjoyable. Keep it up people.
Who else is on Radish?
Denise wrote: "Amy wrote: "Who else is on Radish? "What's Radish?
I haven't started anyone's book yet, but I do plan on getting around to it. Sounds like some good ones out there."
Radish Fiction is a serialised fiction app where books can be updated by authors a chapter a week and readers have the ability to read a bite-sized chunk at a time.
-The first three chapters are always free.
-Some books are entirely free.
-Others are set so the reader has the ability to pay to get to the next chapter rather than wait for it to be released for free the following week.
-The other setting is the first three chapters are free as normal but every subsequent chapter costs 3 Radish coins or about 32-42 cents or pence depending on how many coins you buy in one go.
Alex wrote: "I don't know how I missed the updates to this thread, darn GR and its failure to properly notify.Thank you Sam for reading my book, and for the lovely review you gave it...."
You are entirely welcome, Alex. Hugs
About missing GR notifications, I miss a lot, too, and somehow get dropped off discussions I'm following. Drat!! Grrrr to GR!
Forgot to mention I'm reading Amy Hamilton's Modified. It's an interesting story and I admire Dayton's blatant sarcasm!
Sam (Rescue Dog Mom, Writer, Hugger) wrote: "Forgot to mention I'm reading Amy Hamilton's Modified. It's an interesting story and I admire Dayton's blatant sarcasm!"It's one of my weirder efforts! Thank you for reading.
I've read and reviewed "Beyond Stone" by Christine Roney. I would love another reader/reviewer of my historical fiction "The Last Frontier of the Fading West." And will return the favor.
Last week I read Fractured by Jessica Jessinghaus... and like the nit wit twit I am, I forgot to star my GR review! Sorry Jessica! Just fixed it. Luckily, Amazon won't let you forget to star their review.I've been reading My Life as I Knew It by Peri June. Yes, now that I'm three quarters into it, it's about time I let you know. Sorry Peri!
I will say that while reading, I do post comments when I record my progress. Hugs
Thanks, Denise!!! I am publishing an article on Medium I think on Thursday or Friday that is similar.
I'm opening myself up to be mobbed here, but I'd like to read and review a few titles by group members. Reviews would be posted on GR, Amazon, and my blog. I'm mostly interested in SF, mystery, and some fantasy. I can go a bit further afield but I'm not into romance, horror, vampires and zombies, or horribly romantic vampires and zombies. ;-) Also, due to $$$$ in medical bills, I need cheap copies. I don't mind paying a dollar or two here and there, but cheap or free would be appreciated. (If I'm violating any rules by saying that, please let me know and I'll unsay it.)
If I can get my hands on Amy's Missing Remnants I'll start with that. (I've sent you a message, Amy.)
To avoid cluttering this thread, please send me private messages if you'd like to request a review. Thanks!
Carole wrote: "Love missing remnants"Yep, I saw your review. I thought the blurb sounded interesting, too.

Check out Eugenia Chu's interview with me on "Let's Say Hello To Our Neighbors"! The interview is the 3rd 'Press Play' button down.
The interview center's around the book, Brandon Makes Jiǎo Zi (餃子) and it's author, Eugenia Chu and her culture. It's a really fun interview!

I'm just waking this thread up. I'm afraid I'm not volunteering to review at the moment, but maybe some of us have just forgotten this excellent idea and after the run up to Christmas, we can settle in front of the fire and read and review a good book.
I love that idea! I also told many of my office friends about all your lovely books. Hoping you all see some downloads.
Anna Faversham wrote: "Thanks both. If I hadn't just spent hours trying to join FaceBook, I could have read a book."
Ugh! I felt your pain last year. Take your time and take a lot of breaks. Hugs!
Just read two of our members' books: Joshua Grant's 'Pandora' and Michael Ward's 'Rags of Time'.Both recommended. Joshua's scares you from the first page (don't read before a cruise - if that could only be possible!) and Michael's also grabbed me from the first page - what on earth?
Reviews left on Amazon, and Goodreads to follow.
Sam (Rescue Dog Mom, Writer, Hugger) wrote: "I read Weasel Words by Dale Lehman and left reviews here and on Amazon. Hugs to All!"Thank you, Sam!
I'm so behind on my reading that I'm embarrassed to say I'm being very little help (at least in that regard) to anyone right now.
Thank you, Sam!

Dale, Don't be embarrassed. We've all got stuff going on and are doing the best we can. Hugs!
