Cheyenne Autumn question

I just finished reading Cheyenne Autumn by Mari Sandoz. I couldn't put it down. If only I could write as well as she does, I'd be in heaven. If you haven't read the book or haven't read it for some time, I'd recommend reading it. It is an excellent history of the resettlement of Cheyenne Indians. Were they treated fairly?
