1. Have you read any "culinary mysteries" before? Or did you even know that was a genre?
2. What is your favorite dessert?
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity?
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try?
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them.
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to.

Yes, I have read one in the past. It involved a lot of baking and a Christmas theme and I remember not liking it a whole lot. But I think that was the character's fault and not the actual food and/or mystery
2. What is your favorite dessert?
Probably lemon cream cheese pie. Also chocolate chip cookie dough. Also the Walmart brand salted caramel ice cream.
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity?
Reading in the bathtub.
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try?
I'm not sure. I like cooking but not baking, and we are trying to have fewer "treats" in the house. I guess it depends on what they are for and if they sound yummy!
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them.
I'll answer my own, below.
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to.
My question: Do you like to be surprised by mysteries, or do you read ahead to find out "who done it?"
I usually like to wait and find out, but sometimes my curiosity gets ahead of me, especially if I feel that the book is dragging or throwing out too many red herrings.

2. My favorite dessert is always changing. It usually involves chocolate, and we tried an amazing chocolate angel pie from America's Test Kitchen and it was incredible. That is now my new favorite, until the next new recipe!
3. My fun relaxing activity is listening to a book with headphones on. It's amazing how many dishes and countertops can be cleaned while listening to a good book.
4. I have already tried one of the recipes from the book. Loved it! I have actually had to stop looking at the recipes so intently because they are so yummy and more calories than I should eat in one day =)
5. I hate to read ahead to figure out who did it. Part of the fun of a mystery for me is making up my own guess of who did it, and then finding out if I was right or not.
6. My question: Who is your favorite mystery author and why? For example, Agatha Christie, Brian Freeman, an LDS mystery writer, etc.

= I have read all of these culinary mysteries. None by any other authors thought
2. What is your favorite dessert?
= I really really like cake. Pound cake, birthday, ice cream, dump, poke, etc.
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity?
= I, of course love to read, but I also like to crochet for my family.
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try?
=Oh yes! :)
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them.
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to.

I've never read a culinary mystery before and didn't even know it was a genre. I've seen the books at Deseret, though, and knew they existed.
2. What is your favorite dessert?
It's a three-way tie between our family's homemade recipe, cherry pie, and cheesecake.
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity?
Reading. I like how reading offers an escape from things.
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try?
If one strikes my fancy, most definitely. I've gotten more into cooking and baking in the past few years and am always looking for new things to make.
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them.
To be honest, I haven't read a whole lot of mysteries. I've really only read Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. Out of the two, Nancy Drew is my favorite (the series was ghostwritten, so there are many women who wrote under the name Carolyn Keene). I first read Nancy Drew when I was in third grade and I jut really liked how she was a go-getter.
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to.
If you could be a character in any mystery book, who would you be and why?

* I have never read a culinary mystery. I didn't know that culinary mysteries were a genre I thought they just feel under mysteries.
2. What is your favorite dessert?
*My favorite dessert is pie. Dark Chocolate cream pie. My mom bakes the best and I always request that instead of cake for my birthday.
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity?
*I love to read and watch crime dramas or documentaries on TV, and cook.
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try?
*I think I will. It seems kinda fun to bake alongside the character. Like your fiends or working on it together. I am looking forward to it.
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them.
*I have loved Nancy Drew since I was a little girl so I think I would like to be a character in a Nancy Drew book. I have always loved mysteries and would like to work alongside her in the book.
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to.
*The title of the book is Lemon Tart. Do you think that is a clue as to how the mystery gets solved?

**I have read one by this author before - English Trifle
2. What is your favorite dessert?
**Cheesecake is my favorite dessert.
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity?
**Reading, reading, reading.
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try?
**I have some current health issues that restrict my diet, so it will depend...
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them. The title of the book is Lemon Tart. Do you think that is a clue as to how the mystery gets solved?
*I assume a lemon tart will make an appearance in the story somehow.. it would be cool if it contributed to the solving of the mystery... maybe some lemon tart crumbs leave a trail...
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to.
**Have you ever had to solve a mystery in your own life?

2. What is your favorite dessert? Anything Chocolate
3. On her website, (link) Kilpack tells how she came about writing this story. At first it was just one chapter for a contest and slowly grew. She calls it her "fun" writing when her faith-based stories are getting stressful. What is your "fun" relaxing activity? Reading and Quilting. I recently discovered Audio Books, now I can read and quilt at the same time.
4. This book has several recipes in it. Do you think you'll give one of them a try? Probably not, with the kids gone and just Hubby and me I don't cook a lot. But if something inspires me, maybe.
5. Answer the question of the person above you. If they forgot to leave a question, answer the one above them. The only mystery that I have solved is where did my husband left his keys or wallet and where is the kid's missing shoe.
6. Leave a question for the person below you. Answer it if you want to. If you were to write a cozy mystery book, what genre would it be and why?
