What is it with me, reading all these sad books lately? I'm happy IRL, but you'd think I was on the verge of a breakdown if you looked at my reading habits. 0_o

Hello. :)

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

*screams* My best article went national!
http://www.fusfoo.com/article/2857/My...

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

sorry, I just get really excited when my writing is recognized like this!!!

lorien ‧͙⁺˚*・༓ଳ | 3388 comments Wow Raevyn! That's great! *hugs*

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks. I didn't expect it to go up so quickly, if at all--I just posted it last night, and most of my better articles have taken weeks to get to national status.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

My sister is being horrible.

Fandom list--ongoing
my own book (yes it counts), The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, The Giver, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Over the Garden Wall, Big Hero Six, Lotr/The Hobbit,

I wish I was homeschooled.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm trapped in this prison for two. More. Years.
They're draining our creativity through formulaic assignments and standardized tests--and I hate it.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

I swear my heart breaks a little more every time I come into contact with homeschoolers. Why can't I be free like them? Are they already judging me for something I can't change?

D:

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

:(

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

ANYway, I'm rewriting my novel again. So...that's good.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

Ugh. I know it's a first-world problem, but the school cafeteria isn't going to provide provolone cheese for the rest of the year...and the other cheese they offer is nasty.
I want to pack my lunch every day next year.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Writing in my new character's dialect for chapter one is harder than I thought it would be! But I really like the character. I've named her Martha.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

Martha is a little like Hagrid. I mean, she's her own unique character--but the similarities are there. :)

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

For my own reference--things to try drawing digitally
1. Redo pencil drawing of Wirt from Over the Garden Wall. It looked pretty amateur.
2. Draw my OC's
3. Possibly draw a neurodiversity sign?
4.

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

I drew a snowman instead. Digital art is so much easier!

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

I've decided some important things about my future. I'll be happy if I end up having a husband and homeschooling my hypothetical kids--but that's not my main goal. If it never comes, that's fine--I'll be a single-and-satisfied librarian and writer. :)

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi! :)

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks! :D

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know what to say either, lol.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

I didn't think I'd like it, to be honest. Lol.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

I never watch the actual television--I find my shows online.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

My new story (for the contest in Blazing Readers and Wordy Writers) isn't going well. At all.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

In better news, VBS is coming up later this month! I'm helping with the middle group (first through third graders). Can't wait!

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

Heart of Darkness is actually really good??? Even though I hated the last Joseph Conrad book I read??

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm thinking of buying The Midnight Fox, even though it's for kids...

Delphinia (Dhamma ✿) (dhammarune) | 707 comments Hi Raevyn! Oh I love this journal ^.^

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

I hope I can get all 27 of my book ideas written in my lifetime.

Hi! :)

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

Aaaand we're over 100 posts! Thanks for this, guys!

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

My heart is breaking and I no longer have any desire to write. All thanks to one comment.
I don't intend for my books to be "really dark"...

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

NO! DON'T STOP WRITING!

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

I probably won't stop entirely, but I don't know if I can enjoy it like I did.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

I still read your works and they feel so real to me.

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know where to set my new story, if I provide a location at all....

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

It's Adventure Timetime to buckle down and write some poems!

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

...yeah, I'm completely out of poetry ideas.

message 93: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 18, 2017 12:09PM) (new)

Me: All the songs we learn for chorus class are lame.
Also me (two months after our concert): *singing* OMNIA SOL! TEMPERAT!!! ABSENS IN REMOTA!

message 94: by [deleted user] (new)

It's weird because I keep thinking"When I get published, I'll do this, think this, etc." and then I remember that my book IS published. ❤

Someone: Describe yourself in a few words.

message 96: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm seriously considering leaving the group "Polls About Life". And maybe even Goodreads in general. I tried to ask an innocent question about my writing, and some pretentious user turned it into a passive-aggressive comment on a social justice issue. Fine. Next time I'll just whitewash my characters so nobody gets offended!

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

I doubt myself enough without certain people implying that I'm racist and a lazy writer.

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

Changing the title to something else that's depressing. Because why not?

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

I mess up everything I try to do.
