SOLVED. Book about ladies in flight attendent training school..main character Carol. [s]

I read this way back in the 80's or 90's. am seeking help finding a book where the main character is named Carol and is in school training to be a flight attendant. This book is NOT called "Carol Trent Air Stewerdess" nor is it "coffee,tea or me".

I remember many of the characters names. Carol is the main character and falls in love with her therapist whose name is Ray I think. Her roomate is named Daphne. (I think). Also a girl Alma who sadly is killed in a car accident. There was also another lady who gets kicked out of the school.

I cannot remember the year it came out but would guess I read it in the mid to late eighties or early nineties.

Can anyone help me out?

Found my copy! It's "The Fly Girls", by Bernard Glemser. Formerly published as Girl on a Wing, according to the front cover.

Donna is a friend, Alma is the friend who was in the car accident after being attacked by her boy friend, there's Mary Ruth Jurgens (Jurgy) as well.
