That's a great goal! Personally I experience the same, of constantly finding new books to read and never seeming to finish. Personally I do finish them but then I think perhaps something of the reading experience is lost as I'm not completely sucked into the story line unless it's an exceptionally good novel.

And it's cool to find someone a bit like me (picking up another book while I'm reading the first one). Hopefully we can do better this year? :)

And it has to do, sometimes, directly or indirectly with the statue of the year in which a certain event happens, or catastrophe..."That's really cool, Luis! I have to admit, I'm not as up-to-date on immediate current events as I'd like to be. Of course I followed politics much more in the most recent election, but I've never really read about current leaders/candidates, etc. I do hear about catastrophes in the news...I've read about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. They don't count, though...
How are we doing with our self-challenge in January? I'm curious as to who has gotten through at least two books if not more since January 1st or since we began this challenge. Anyone want to update your reading history?Personally, I am still reading the same book I started for this month. I better get moving or I won't even finish one! Please say you are better off than I am!

It is my experience, habit, or whatever, to start a book and get some of the way through it, then see another book I want to read, start that one, and so on until I am reading several books at a time. At this rate, it takes me seemingly forever to actually finish one of the books.
People ask how I don't get them mixed up. Well the topics are vastly different and it's difficult to mix up psychology, artist biography and neuroscience for example. That's how I explain it.
So for the remainder of the month of January, I want to (and I'm a bit embarrassed that this number is so low) finish two books. I am going to finish two or more! I just challenged myself.
