Yes, the fourth book was translated by another person. Previous couldn't manage deadlines. But if you noticed a significant change in quality, that's what we'll look into. Thanks!

Personally, the really good translation of the first 3 books was a big draw for me towards the series.
Well, what can I say? For example, look here (comment section). I mean, there are just as many opinions as readers.

I would also have someone that is an native english speaker do a final edit on the manuscript before releasing it. Again, I'm not saying the story doesn't stand on it's own, but there are definite phrases and sayings that don't mean anything in the west and there's a big break in the flow from that.
I do English-Portuguese translation fairly often (written and vocal), and I'm always making sure that the message is the same, even when the words might not necessarily be the same.
Anyways, my two cents. I'll pick up the books since I like the story, but take it as a bit of constructive criticism.
All the translations and the editing are done by native speakers. But we're always looking for ways to improve our product, so, thanks, your critisism is appreciated.

Mahan's ready for new adventures - just as the gaming world of Barliona thought it was about to re-enter its old comfortable rut. The winds of the Dark Forest have finally died down; Altameda has recognized its new owner while Geranika is nursing new schemes of global destruction.
Would Mahan be happy with this predictable old life? We think not! New storylines, new monsters, new dungeons and a new status: our High Shaman hates the daily grind! He wants a new apprentice? - then he'd better find someone who has no right to summon Spirits. A new ship? - it's going to be one of a kind! A new love? Well, we'll have to see, won't we?
