Has anyone else started reading this? I'm not done with it but I like it so far and love how it's very pro-solitude.
I read it years ago, before Introversion was a common *thing* in my head/life. I really liked the way he made it seem a preferable/desirable thing. NOT some freakish abnormality that I should run to the nearest shrink and get cured. Thoreau was the same. They made it seem like solitude was a state to achieve. I came away from these writers feeling that I was *normal*, in my own eyes. :) Society was never so kind. And now, it sits prominently on a shelf with all my other Introversion/Psychology/Self-Help books and just seeing the cover of these books at a glance fuels my inner OK-ness/inner strength.

I wouldn't say it's Buddhist. Much of the book is analyzing the role solitude has played in famous creative people's lives.

That's lovely. It's wonderful that there's so many pro-introvert books out right now.
