Amy (view spoiler)[definitely has survivor's guilt. It's so terribly sad because a person who goes through what she did literally might always be "Chelsea" and that's such an atrocity! Kyle has stolen more than her innocence. (hide spoiler)]

Dee (view spoiler)[ was raped her first night there with Kyle...sicko!! I also think Lola was her baby. If she's been gone for six years and alive, it's possible she's had as many as six babies but I hope not. I am so sad for her. I can't think of any reason Amy won't talk about her unless it's really, really bad. (hide spoiler)]

Dee (view spoiler)[sounds like she got the brunt of it. So awful...rape at 12, 2 babies, and she's "broken" so she can't mother them. I understand why Amy feels like going back in some ways. I really do want her to be alive. Although she'll never be the same, she can live a good life if she gets out from under the perv. (hide spoiler)]

Amy (view spoiler)[is so conflicted. I can't speak from any point of understanding what she's going through, but it seems like she's still trying to protect them (Dee and the babies) somehow. I think they are alive because of some things she's said. I mean, why would she even think of going back if they were not alive? But she did also say something that made me wonder if Dee was dead, something like, "It should have been me that died." (hide spoiler)]

Lola and Barbie (view spoiler)[born into something like that. UGH! How could they EVER stand a chance of any type of normalcy? They are still just babies. (hide spoiler)]

Jay (view spoiler)[I know I've heard of jealousies taking place after a loved one comes back because all of the attention has been focused on the missing person and now possibly even more so. I'm glad they are talking too. (hide spoiler)]

Lee (view spoiler)[is sweet and she's trying so hard just to help Amy be "normal" again and do normal teenage things. I don't understand how she's able to be so quiet about her sister though. (hide spoiler)]

Aunt Hannah (view spoiler)[ is understandably beside herself! I think even though I'd try to understand Amy's position if Dee were my daughter, I'd be lived that she didn't give any info that could possibly either save her or at least give me closure and possibly bury my daughter if needed. Amy's father (view spoiler)[seemed to have had such a good relationship with her before she was kidnapped. I've heard before that tragedies like this one break up many families just because everyone grieves differently. People are misunderstood when going through traumatic events. But it does seem like the wrong time to go off and make a whole new family. I think it's terrible that he didn't hang in there and help Amy's mother and brother through their grief, but I don't know her parents' relationship prior to the kidnapping either. (hide spoiler)]

I am really (view spoiler)[worried for Amy. I hate that she took off in Vinnie's car for a couple reasons. He has been there for her and he's a really good guy. But to go back to Kyle's, if she makes it there, could be dangerous for her AND the girls. (hide spoiler)]

Lee (view spoiler)[I totally understand where she's coming from. I wouldn't want anyone to go back to that situation, let alone my cousin. But of course Lee also doesn't know that she has two nieces, a piece of her sister, who are there. I hope she gets a chance to know them. (hide spoiler)]

so glad you finished this one and liked it too. I know, this was a rough story! I liked the last few chapters too, that gave the conclusion to many parts.
