Here is what I was thinking, please say no if you don't like;
But I'm thinking her and Josiah might have known each other a while, maybe used to mix in the same friendship group and he could have got her the waitressing job on the provisio she pulls her act together? (which she obviously hasn't done, she's still a mess) and then they just use each other for emotional/stress relief and Ruby pretends she doesn't care even though she really really really does o.o

bc I think I want his older sister to be a journalist or reporter
and he further fucks himself up by following her on all her social media platforms to see how happy she is without having to take care of her family that she abandoned bc she was "too stressed" and wanted to "live her life as her own"

like he's been there for a while bc being attractive pays off + skillz for days
so I can see him having some sway in getting people hired
he prolly cares
but not as much as she does
bc he won't let himself and/or he just doesn't fully believe people much

- picks up on subtle things most children his age would not be bothered by or even notice.
- He was being watched by his babysitter when shit hit the fan, his parents off at some conference that didn't allow kids. His babysitter took over care for him, getting him out of the city and navigating obstacles while trying to preserve his innocence whenever possible, but he was not just an oblivious child, he knew things were happening.
- they joined a group but eventually it fell to ruin and it was just him and one of the guys in the group, his babysitter getting killed while helping him escape.
- this man wasn't like his babysitter, and he taught him everything he needed to survive, taught him that killing was inevitable, taught him how to do it quietly, how to use his environment and be resourceful.
- At the moment, he's all alone, the man got caught in a beartrap and while they were eventually able to free him, he died of infection and before he did, had him kill him so he couldn't turn.

like these things never work out ( when has a quarantine zone in a movie involving an infection ever truly worked? )
and I can see the dwyers having met up there and then absolute chaos when it goes to shit and this is how they def get separated
or sam meets amara in the quarantine zone
and she's the reason it goes to shit bc she lets a zombie in
or like feed someone infected meat ( basically human flesh but they wouldn't know ) and then they die and come back as zombies
and she kind just ditches the place, but takes sam with her bc she needs a good lackey and he's cute

- hates himself for falling in love, for not seeing the signs until it was too late. Definitely blames himself too, thinks its his fault that it all happened when in reality the guy, the manipulator, was the one who chose to fake being gay to lure him in
- his only consolation is that those who hated him, who beat and abused him, were some of the first to be eaten by the zombies. Not turned, but straight up devoured. It offers him a little peace during the long nights alone.

Yeah I was thinking, Annabeth and Sam will go with their Mom to the quarantine zone whilst Ben goes on a one man mission to collect Natalie and save half the college campus
...therefore giving Sam time to get to know Amara
And the collapse will also provided a good exit for the Mom if no one decides to play her by then, we can just write her out in the quarantine chaos, sorry kids

I wasn't exactly planning on having him start in the city actually? a few of mine are from out of city and travel that way for some reason or another so I'll prolly just postpone making them or wait to rp them

I had the ones that weren't starting in the city having dealt with the apocalypse outside the city lol so a fair handful won't even be able to get to the city before the quarantine zone falls to shit hahaits no biggie though *shrugs*

a lot of the quarantine zones went down at different times and depending on how bad it is in a certain place, they could have been caught in that sort of situation
prolly were but in the case of like, my Lucky fc for example, he ran outta town a while back and when he noticed people eating each other just kept moving and eventually winds up in seattle but even if the zone was still up he wouldn't want any part of it. He'dve seen too many groups of people go down to think the more the safer lolLusca has a babysitter who watched a lotta zombie movies and while they end up joining a larger group they'd avoid any zones because the sitter knows that that never works and warn against it

yeah, those are the only two I really have figured out atm, but I did plan on a few others migrating to that general direction after a while
