Me: Yeah, soo... I was making a character for an rp, and I decided to make it an interview since the normal character sheets are so boring sometimes, doing the same pattern over and over. Nothing wrong with that, right? Plus, it didn't sound right just in third person. I ended up having to redo it over because they just want it to be in third person annnd I'm done making characters for a little cause that was tedious typing it out again

Me: We're only allowed to dye our hair natural colors at my school, technichally, but it's not a rule that anyone actually follows...

I have hard time with conventional character sheets, interviews/oneshot testing is so much mor fun. And I feel like it reveals a lot more about the character. As can be seen by how I've been observing-

ANyways, I'm all for creative character creation. One of the best ones I ever made was for a character named Nova, where I'd gone the traditional route of listing all the things but also had her snarky comments written in about anything. Hearing them talk shows you so much more about who they are than any laundry list of description ever can.

So, go ahead and do whatever you want for yours, as long as it includes all the vital information. Make it an interview. Stick in a bunch of quotes like nobody does. Add new categories. Dig deep. The whole point of character creation is... The character.

Me: I go to a Catholic school with a super strict dress code. (Stud earrings only, other jewelry must be religious. No hair dying. Nail polish must be clear or flesh colored. Very specific white shirt, plaid tie, plaid skirt, knee-high navy blue socks, black dress shoes... It stinks)

Me: Oh O_O I find that weird for a Catholic school. The kids at mine are pretty nice. It's a co-op where you go to school two days a week and are homeschooled three.

Me: Bullying is bad! Last year I went to a public school that was like that, but divided up into catagories of people, and sadly there wasn't one for 'nerdy fangirls that wear fandom shirts to school everyday'. The closest group of people I might have fit in with were the theater kids and they were snobby. I went basically the entire year just being a recluse from every other student. Then my parents found out and stuck me in the private/public school I go to right now for the last few months.
