Isolated Neverseen Hideout
((Any Neverseen is free to rp here at anytime no need to ask, since y'know they probably just barge into their hideouts in the books))
Jasmine woke up at the crack of dawn and quickly put on her Neverseen cloak, pulling it over her head. She never knew when exactly when her contact, Ronin, would drop in. She made her way down the stairs, careful to avoid the trick stairs for people who weren't supposed to be there.
Ronin was already downstairs by the door. His hood was down on his cloak and he smirked. "Good morning sleeping beauty," he said when he noticed Jasmine coming down the stairs. "Took you long enough."
Jasmine sighed inside. She wished she could throw force fields at him at top speed for being so annoying but he had the power here. "Well, it appears that the king has arrived."
"The king arrived an hour ago," Ronin informed her. "There hasn't been much news, but we think we've found a Black Swan member trying to hide away. And there's no missions for you either. So how about training?"
"Yay, it's time for training," Jasmine exclaimed sarcastically, though in truth she was kind of excited. She loved showing off in the training sessions because she aced all the skills put before her. "Where we going today?"
"We're staying here today." Ronin opened the front door and stepped aside as an arrow shot out through the doorway. "Ladies first." He grinned.
Jasmine stared for a moment before putting a force field around herself and walking out. "Staying here he says as we walk out the door?"
Jasmine momentarily considered shielding him too but shoved the thought out of her head. "Soooo...?"
((So I made a gnome that needs to be approved xD I'm assuming you lost it in your notification pile would you check it out? You're the only mod on I think))
((Agh. I coulda sworn I'd approved her. Okie dokie!))
Ronin clapped his hands together. "Shield down."
Ronin clapped his hands together. "Shield down."
((Thanks))After casting a glance around for more arrows, Jasmine dissolved her shield. "Soo is this like dodge the arrows?"
"Exactly!" Ronin grinned and waved a hand. A gust of wind revealed a group of four arrows in different positions, then hurled them toward Jasmine. "No shields allowed! You can't improve your reflexes if you're always hidden behind a force field!"
Jasmine quickly dropped to the ground, then rolled, narrowly missing one arrow that grazed her calf. She barely registered the cut as she jumped to her feet, ready to move again. "I get the impression you are enjoying this?"
((Aw man! :( Bye!))
"Of course not!" Ronin exclaimed, but his wicked smirked said otherwise. He turned the arrows back around to her again.
"Of course not!" Ronin exclaimed, but his wicked smirked said otherwise. He turned the arrows back around to her again.
Jasmine rolled her eyes and quickly moved away from the arrows again, her calf leaving a blood trail. She mentally sighed. That meant she would have some mopping to do later with her other chores. ((btw in your "Forbidden Cities (2) role with Winter, since you just had the Neverseen attack, we could play the Neverseen if you don't mind? Or I could do it solo if you don't mind?))
((Heeeehhhhhh))
"Let's kick it up a notch." Ronin nodded and waved his other hand, blowing four more arrows into the mix.
"Let's kick it up a notch." Ronin nodded and waved his other hand, blowing four more arrows into the mix.
Jasmine ducked, rolled, and jumped in a tight sequence but one narrowly missed piercing her wrist and another cut a scratch right above her eye, dripping blood into her vision and blinding her momentarily. She knew he would send more, so she just continued to duck, jump, roll, and twist randomly in the hope no more arrows would get her until her vision cleared.
Ronin however held the arrows back, watching her flail with an amused smirked. "Ooh nice dodge," he commented when she almost impaled herself on one of the arrows, making him pull it away from her.
For once in her life, Jasmine didn't have a snappy comeback. Once her vision cleared, she simply calmed her flailing limbs, wondering why he didn't impale her, and grabbed a long leaf, sticking it to her forehead. She was careful to be on alert and not turn her back on him just in case.
Ronin nodded in approval. "That was good. Tip for the blood, blinking quickly gets it out of your eyes faster so you aren't blind for long," he informed her.
"K," Jasmine replied shortly. "Also in a real battle I would be able to fight back so is that an option?"
"Sure." Ronin held his arms out to the sides. "You've mastered hand to hand combat already, so let's perfect your aim."
Jasmine quickly formed a small force field and shot it toward Ronin's foot, knowing it was one of the hardest places to block/dodge quickly.
((Grr I've gtg for dinner, bye! Roleplay again tomorrow! I think my parents want to do some family time after dinner *sigh*))
Jasmine sighed mentally and, concentrating hard, made four shields, two per hand, and tossed them from different angles at him.
Ronin lead a gust of wind over to himself and knocked all four shields away. "Better aim, faster speed. Make it harder for them to be knock away."
Jasmine swiftly made another four and, pushing energy from her core, flung them at his chest as hard as she could.
Ronin tried to block them, but the sliced through the wind and knocked him back into the house. He rubbed his chest, his face breaking into a grin. "Great!"
Jasmine let the force field dissolve and replied "Yes, Your Majesty," with an elaborate bow on her way inside. She grabbed a towel and mopped up her blood, washing it with her other laundry and a few other things. She then carefully sharpened and polished all of her weapons and cleaned up.
While Jasmine did that, Ronin went around the house, checking all the traps and touching up the ones he needed to be fixed.
After Jasmine finished with her chores, she shielded herself because she wouldn't put it past Ronin to set up a new trap while he was at it just to surprise her.
Funny thing was, the idea crossed Ronin's mind. But then he figured he'd have to tell every one else and that would take the fun out of adding it. He met with Jasmine at the front of the house. "You're paranoid," he told her, seeing her shield.
Jasmine let down her shield. "No, I just don't completely trust some people not to splatter me with paint or get me stuck in a trap."
"Well that's why your reflexes need to get sharpened up," Ronin said. "So you don't have to have shields up all the time."
Jasmine, unflinching, crouched in a ready-to-move position. She wasn't sure how many pebbles would be flung at her, but probably not just a few.. She took a deep breath and announced "Bring it," forming a shield to throw at him in one hand.
