Tabitha Vohn Last year I returned to my first love of poetry---reading and writing it.
I love discovering like-minded poets in the indie and small press world. Here are some collections I am excited to read in the new year (idk how many I'll get my hands on; my public library is lacking but one can dream):

You're Doing Just Fine by Charlotte Eriksson --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
Stuff I've Been Feeling Lately by Alicia Cook --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
La Douleur Exquise by J.R. Rogue --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
Today Means Amen by Sierra DeMulder --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
The Sobbing School by Joshua Bennett --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
Catalpa by George Ella Lyon --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
Raising the Dead by Ron Rash --Reviewed but Don't Rec (No Review Posted)
for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf by Ntozake Shange --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
Onthagrindcuzin The School Daze of Being Incognegro in 1619 by James Ellis III --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
How Much We Must Have Looked Like Stars To Stars by Alysia Nicole Harris --Reviewed! (See 2017 Reviews)
The BreakBeat Poets New American Poetry in the Age of Hip-Hop by Kevin Coval --Read/Review to come...
Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim --This was an amazing collection! By far my favorite this year.
New American Best Friend by Olivia Gatwood --Read. High-brow. Okay.
Our Numbered Days by Neil Hilborn --Does all the hype surrounding a book mean it will automatically live down to expectation? Hmm...
Let Them Eat Chaos by Kate Tempest --Narrative poem. Something different. Missed the lyricism of poetry with this one
Hold Your Own by Kate Tempest --Felt much more in tune with the poet reading these shorter pieces
Brand New Ancients by Kate Tempest --didn't hold my interest. Felt after reading her latest narrative poem that I'd already been there.

These are all poets I'm unfamiliar with, Tabitha, so I look forward to hearing your reviews of them.

Tabitha Vohn Welp, I've got two poetry books coming to me for Valentine's Day. I'll be halfway to the goal!!

After that, it's gonna be a real feast/famine situation and I'm gonna beg, steal, borrow to get my hands on more poetry :P

Tabitha Vohn Halfway to the goal--Woo Hoo!

I'm taking a brief hiatus now to focus on some coursework. However, I'm looking forward to reading the other reviews and I'll be getting to that BreakBeat Poets anthology as time allows.

Tabitha Vohn I cannot believe it's almost the end of 2017!

I was given an extra class to teach at work this year--along with my already busy schedule. My apologies for not keeping up with reviews.

I am one book away from meeting the group goal of 20! Hope to read over others' reviews and post more of my own when I have the time.

Congrats on your proximity to 20 (especially given what sounds like a very busy year for you)! Glad to see you here again. :-)
