Diane U (djuseless) In the 2017 Reading Challenges thread, Natalie suggested starting a 2017 Finish the Series Challenge.

Everyone is welcome to participate. For each person participating, list the series you want to finish, along with the titles to be read, and see how many you can complete in 2017. Or, you can just keep track of the series that you finish as you go. It's up to you!

Ready, go!

Carolyn | 0 comments I am better set with goals for this year; especially to finsih series; and what i need to find to finish those series. Here are a few i have definitely lined up:
1. Home to Hicory Lane, a book group read from last year, the others
Two Roads Home (Chicory Inn, #2) by Deborah Raney Another Way Home (Chicory Inn #3) by Deborah Raney , and close to home.
2. An Elizabeth Harris Novel
book one Kingdom Come (Elizabeth Harris Mystery #1) by Jane Jensen , book 2
In the Land of Milk and Honey (Elizabeth Harris Mystery #2) by Jane Jensen
continue Kate Burkholder series:
book 2, Pray for Silence (Kate Burkholder, #2) by Linda Castillo book 3 Breaking Silence (Kate Burkholder, #3) by Linda Castillo book 6, The Dead Will Tell (Kate Burkholder, #6) by Linda Castillo book 7 After the Storm (Kate Burkholder, #7) by Linda Castillo
book 8 Among the Wicked (Kate Burkholder #8) by Linda Castillo book 9 publishes july 2017 Down a Dark Road (Kate Burkholder, #9) by Linda Castillo
Linda Castillo kate burkholder mysteries can be read alone; so I like to get in a few mysteries; that aren't so bloody and gory.
so will probably read a few a year, of hers.
that's enough for now.

I love Cindy Woodsmall books but I have to admit I am behind on them. I have not read this series yet but I will put it on my TBR list.

I have loved "The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill" series by Jennifer Beckstrand! Grandparents, Annie & Felty, matchmaking for their single grandchild is a hoot. There are 7 books in the series so far with number 8 due out the end of next month.

Give it a try!

Laura (lolly-pops) | 94 comments Oh no! I would never put Laura Hilton's books in the same series as Jennifer Beckstrands. Ha. No, I was referring to the topic that I responded to about the Huckleberry Hill, series.

Laura, is this the book you are referring to?
The Amish Wanderer by Laura V. Hilton

Carolyn | 0 comments Herb of Grace (Healing Grace #1) by Adina Senft , Keys of Heaven (Healing Grace #2) by Adina Senft and Balm of Gilead (Healing Grace, #3) by Adina Senft ; Healing Series by Adina Senfit finished

Adina Senft left the most moving action in this last novel. It has been interesting to see how the characters moral values change throughout the novels; as they learn the important issues in life; and how God has a plan for all of us.

Carolyn | 0 comments The final third book of the Amish of Summer Grove series, Gathering the Threads by Cindy Woodsmall Gathering the Threads, a unique reading experience. Book one 'the ties that bind' and book two 'fraying at the edges' need to be read in it's series order. The rules of the amish community and it's bishops come into play in this novel. the storyline and conclusion are so unique; I will make it a favorite series for 2017. The three book series; has families going through many changes, to keep you in suspense and final conclusion. People of different cultures mended together through a unique secret efforts to help those in dire need.

message 27: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 0 comments I am so surprised how many amish book are 'series' I'm am challenged and hopefully, this will be my last ditch effort to do a three binder for
series finished,
series to finish purchasing
series to read
hopefully this will keep me on the goal of finishing more of my TBR shelf. I am aware of folder that can be put together on goodreads shelf, but that can be a lot of shelves to go through also. But, I do have all books listed on goodreads shelves, thankful for this site.
there are so many cute journal pages to make it more interesting to put together in a binder.

Carolyn | 0 comments Barbara, can we bring back this challenge next year; since a lot of amish books are a series set? thanks for consideration
