Yes, it's quite an achievement. I'm in awe.

Genre: classic/mystery-noir
Rating: B
Review: This is the last book of the year. It is the first in the Philip Marlowe series. The private Eye became defined. This is a classic noir novel. Chandler became established as a master at the “hard-boiled” detective novel. This story took place in the 1930’s Los Angeles which at this time was controlled by the mob and was just a sleepy little town. Philip Marlowe is hired to solve the mystery of the whereabouts of the son in law of General Sherwood at $25 a day. It was assumed to be an easy case but Marlowe is roped into a world of crime. It gets to be a complicated plot of characters. It’s definitely interesting to read how Marlowe develops and solves the case.
