In 1985, during her sophomore year of high school, Amy went to New York City for a class trip. While there, she saw a few Broadway shows, visited the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center... and most importantly, she went to 30 Rockefeller Center and took the SNL studio tour.
Little did she know – and as all of us are well aware while reading YES PLEASE – Amy Poehler would become one of the reigning women of modern SNL.
