Ashley Demster | 3 comments I read one of my mom's paperback romance novels back in ~2004. I think it was older though. It had a silver cover with a large white flower on it.

Like the topic reads, the book begins with the heroine moving to a ranch for work helping the owner. When she arrives, the handsome cowboy owner is distant and brooding. The cowboy and heroine warm up to one another and sexual tension builds. However when the heroine tells the cowboy that she is a virgin, things quickly cool off. The cowboy wants a serious relationship but fears he has little to offer such a lady. He pushes her away before she can make it clear how strongly she feels about him. After she leaves, the cowboy realizes how much he needs her, so he sells his oil rights. A newly wealthy man, he believes he can win her affection. I think he hires her to redecorate his house toget her to himself. Eventually she tells him the money isn't important. They fool around, but they dont have sex, because he wants them married first.

I remember the novell being pretty steamy, but not too graphic. The cowboy

Ashley Demster | 3 comments Could be a Diana Palmer novel (I thought it was anyway), but I didn't find it when looking through her books.
