English Series starts with actual 2nd book in series

Nope - because the first book, translated into English or not is the first book

That makes no sense to me - just because it's not available in English now doesn't mean it won't ever be (other Nordic authors have been similar - later books when established have been translated and earlier works have slowly been released)...why does there need to be 2 series entries - and if we do a danish and English one - then what is stopping other languages from having series created too

We create separate series when the numbering is different in different languages. So far, it's different in English.
