hello everyone!

My name is Francis Mandewah.

I am writing from Ferguson, Missouri.

I am author of a haunting, inspiring, and spirit-lifting memoir titled FRIENDSHIP: A True Story of Adventure, Goodwill, and Endurance. If you have seen the Hollywood movie "BLOOD DIAMOND" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, then I am requesting you please review my book.

My true story tells what Hollywood failed to show and tell the world about my hometown region ( Kono District ), a region that was once saturated with gems and alluvial diamonds, a region the diamond industry once referred to as the "heart of diamond zone" of Sierra Leone.

My story is primarily about the miracle that God performed in my life when I was a 15-year old boy living in a diamond mining squatter camp with a cruel and physically abuse cousin while selling oranges by carrying the basket on my head at the National Diamond Mining headquarters at Yengema; and how a kind, generous, and altruistic American diamond transport pilot from Minnesota miraculously met me, in Sierra Leone in 1976 and befriended and rescued me from poverty and abuse and gave me generous support and opportunity to education at a Catholic boarding school; and how this generous American pilot paved the way for me to come to America, and in America the pilot paid for my college education at Springfield, Massachusetts so I could realize the American dream.

At a time in America when morale in bottom low and heightened negativism and pessimism, I hope my remarkable true story would inspire and lift the spirit of fellow Americans during these trying times in our country. I also hope my story will affirm and restore America's global image and reputation as a friendly, generous, and altruistic people and country.
