Why on Earth do people keep praising the second season of Winx Club?! It's my least favorite season and it's gotta be the most forgettable season of them all. Even before I watched it as a kid I was dreading it, and I was correct. It's boring and does absolutely nothing to move the plot forward aside from introducing Aisha to the cast, but I felt they could've done that in the first season. The villain is so boring and unmemorable, the plot is all over the place and has no real focus, and the new transformation, Charmix, is sooooo boring. Unlike the other ones, there was no sense of accomplishment when they unlocked it, because it was a powerup that could only be used for five minutes, and what did it do? Just give them a purse. Wow.
Even as a kid I despised this season, and while I went back and rewatched the first and third seasons multiple times, I only watched the second one once and it left no impact on me. I really wish it wasn't important to the story and could just be skipped, but sadly it has some plot-relevant stuff that you need to see so the third season makes sense.
The only parts I liked were the pixies, Aisha of course, and the weird subplot that was taken from the fourth Harry Potter book.
And I'm talking about the original English version from 2004(?) not the weird hodgepodge special Nick did. But at least Nick shortened it and tried to Photoshop some pretty dresses over their usual ones for their Charmix transformation.
SOunds like Yu-Gi-Oh season 4.Nothing but filler. For some reason the bad guy was from...Atlantis and he wanted to end the world with a giant soul devouring serpent for some reason...
And the Egyptian gods couldn't stop him but three random dragons could. And they hardly USED the dragons and you never *ever* see them in an episode outside season 4.
tHe first half of season 3 is useless filler except for one part where the big bad sabotages part of the tournament that extends the plot by a few minutes at the end of the season. First arc of season 5 was a filler tournament in response to season 4's crisis and second arc didn't even make sense. Alexander the Great was trapped in some sort of game he had to win to break free or something IDK.
Still sounds more exciting than the second season. The first few episodes of that season don't even tie-in to the rest of the season, it's just Bloom and Stella trying to rescue one of the guys from being the groom of some weird alien princess.
The season itself wasn't bad...if they would have tied in ANYTHING from before or tied in ANYTHING later to it that actually mattered! And Yugi lost the god cards in one of the first episodes so naturally he couldn't use them. Like seriously? Those three cards are what drives the entire plot of season two and half of season 3, then you conveniently whisk them away so we can meet three new cards we'll never even SEE again?
I finally responded to all of my RPs AND got lots of reading time in. I feel so proud of myself for once. To my surprise, the RP I was most worried about getting thrown out of I'm still in because apparently the other RPers were concerned about my well-being and made it so my character would be knocked out for a few posts in case I came back so I wouldn't miss anything.
It was also probably helped by the fact one of the RPers had to drop out and the Mod had to quickly make her own characters to replace his because they were vital to the plot, and she asked if the others wanted to quit RPing, but one of the other RPers said they loved the plot and wanted to wait for me to respond instead of just quitting.
I'm honestly surprised they waited for me though, since my character also had an important role in the story that they couldn't continue the plot without.
If your character was important wouldn't they have to wait for you? That shouldn't be something to be surprised about iMO
So I watched the first episode of that super controversial anime on Netflix, and....I really have no idea what to think of it. I heard it's a parody, and I feel like it's a parody, but I have no idea what it's even supposed to be a parody of, and that really dulls the entertainment factor for me. I don't really like the animation in it, but it's a unique style I guess. The world makes no sense, for the longest time I thought it took place in an alternative version of the 1990's, but it takes place in our year because the main character was born in 1997, but nobody dresses like it's our time period...It's only six episodes so far so I'm going to keep watching it, and maybe my opinion will change and I'll really like the show in spite of its weirdness, or maybe I'll be like everyone else and find it boring and annoying.
Neo Yokio. It's about a guy with exorcist powers who doesn't really want to use his powers or attend the high-society events with his family, he just wants to lay around and do whatever he wants, which proves to be much easier said than done.
I don't blame you guys for never hearing of it before, you only would've known about it if you follow all of the reviews for the three new Netflix shows that are getting a lot of controversy and hate; that show, The Magic School Bus Rides Again, and Big Mouth. Talk about a really diverse selection of shows lol

Oh I've heard a bit of controversy about the Magic School Bus one lol but we've been watching it anyway.
My only problem with The Magic Schoolbus Rides again is that I hate how Lin-Mauril Miranda sings the theme song. He sings it too smoothly and softly, when the theme song should be energetic and get you hyped up for the field trip, not put you to sleep!
So far I haven't seen anything bad in the show, but we've only watched two episodes, and the theme song is just a jazzier version of the original I think.
I keep thinking about reading It for Halloween and Mom is a very vocal supporter for this, telling me it's one of her most favorite books ever and that in spite of that scene near the end, it's still a really good book that I would really love.
I read the plot summary of It on Wikepedia and honestly...some of my fantasy and even sci fi games sound scarier. I think Pennywise would be much scarier (view spoiler)
Mom says the true charm of the story isn't really the villain, it's watching these kids become best friends and bond with each other, while also trying to figure out how to kill stuff they've never seen before like a werewolf, and I like things like that.
You're the only person i know who appreciates a horror movie for its character development. Not that that's bad, you just normally don;t see a horror movie for that you know? :p
I actually don't know, that's what Mom says about the book. She's the one who's read it, remember? She says it holds a special place in her heart because she read it for the first time when she was only two years older than the kids in the book, so she related with them even more.
Mom told me all of the details about that one scene in It because I wouldn't stop being weirded out about it and even though it makes more sense now it's still really weird because they're like twelve-year-olds and the scene despite being really sweet I feel would be a lot better if they were like sixteen because what they were saying is more stuff a sixteen-year-old would say, not a twelve-year-old.
But maybe I just don't like it because it reminds me of when I was twelve, and uh....I kinda was a lot like that.
Uhhhhhh sure, let's go with that :P Let's just say, almost everything I did in terms of sexual escapades when I was twelve, thirteen, and fourteen, I'm not very proud of and I'm glad the only person with those memories is me nowadays, because it was embarrassing and uncalled for.
I'm not very proud of it because I was really reckless back then. My parents had no idea what I was even doing, hence why I went out of control. At one point I did almost lose my virginity.
