Thank goodness this laptop has a touch screen, but there's a lot of things you still can't do with a touch screen(like right-click)

She thinks her characters are so amazing that she'll get a free pass.

But my character isn't even a cook so that comment is irrelevant.

Name: Mariko Belleanne Tsukiyomi
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Ethnicity: Half Japanese/British
Appearance:

Body Alterations: She has a mark of the Gemini on her forehead, along with a giant scar on her right shoulder where her arm used to be. Her whole right arm and hand is a cybernetic replacement.
Assigned Ship: Gear Grinder
Ship Captain: Calista Mintz
Ship Role: Main Deck Engineer
Equipment and Weaponry: ~Engineering Kit: As she is an engineer, Mariko carries her kit around with her aside when she's eating and sleeping, since she never knows when she'll be needed. It has generic tools in it such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. There's also some tune-up equipment hidden inside for when her arm starts to feel wonky.
~Goggles/Spyglass: Both are standard issue, and while she keeps her goggles firmly tied around her neck, her spyglass is kept tied around her waist. The goggles are to protect her eyes, while the spyglass is used to scout ahead.
~Brass Axe: It's a small axe, with bronze gears sticking out of it. It's heavy, but easy for her to swing around. This is also worn around her belt and is purely for self-defense.

Personality: Mariko is cheerful and helpful. Despite mainly remaining in the background, she's always ready to lend a hand and she's very vocal if something's not right with her or if she feels uncomfortable. Despite this, she's a sweet and even-tempered girl who keeps changing her future goals, even now. She's good at her job and does it well. When she's hard at work, her intelligent side comes out and sparkles in her eyes. She's not self-conscious about her appearance anymore, although any snide comments can still receive a punch from her.
Bio: She considers her early childhood to be sweet and simple. Her mother was a foreigner who worked on a ship for the Mechanics, she was an engineer and gunner both. She met her future husband on the same ship, and they married a few years later. She refused to leave the service, but was forced to when her previous captain retired. So she reluctantly settled down, taking care of her daughter who was a year old by that time. She kept hoping her daughter would follow in her footsteps and showed her all of the different jobs ships required, giving Mariko childish imitations of said jobs. However, Mariko had trouble picking just one and kept flip-flopping. One day she said she wanted to be a gunner, the next a surgeon, the next a cook, etc. It kept going like this until the day she turned twelve. She was involved in an accident that made her lose her arm. Nobody aside from her and her parents know the full details of the accident, as that's the one thing she never opens up about. It involved machinery, that's all people know. Her dad took her to a doctor and was told that her arm could be replaced with a cybernetic replacement. Her dad agreed, but Mariko wasn't sure she was ready for such a big change. She had no say in the matter and was soon outfitted with a big bulky arm that was hard for her to manage at first. She kept knocking things down, making messes, and punching people by accident. Her more ignorant classmates assumed she was going crazy, and those taunts just made her all the more determined to master her arm. She did by the time she was eighteen; the process was slow-going and every so often she'll have a spasm if she's not paying attention, but overall the mechanical arm feels as natural as her old one. She realized she wouldn't make a very good cook with the enhancements, so she decided the next best thing was to be an engineer. She studied for several years and finally graduated with such knowledge and a degree. Since she had reached adulthood, she needed a job, and her mother knew a perfect one. A new captain was found to pilot the famous Gear Grinder; a pilot only a year older than Mariko herself. The captain was looking for an engineer. At first Mariko was worried she would be declined because of her arm, but realized she didn't really care and hurried off to the port, eager to meet her destiny.

But my character isn't even a cook so that comment is irrelevant."
But you said "I told Mom I wanted to make a character for a steampunk RP who was a cook with a cybernetic arm"
SO are they a cook or not? I is confuzzled.

She's up there. ^
