Fall is probably my second least favorite season. It's pretty and I like the aesthetic, but I just don't get why everyone loves it so much. It's pretty miserable for me.
How is it miserable for you?My seasons favorite to.least:
Summer
Spring
Fall
Winter
See if you can figure out Why: p
OMG my list too!!! Summer's my most favorite season ever! Because it's the season with the most fun things :P
That and it's hot so shorts and flip flops!Does the bad stuff have anything to do with fall, or is it stuff that could happen at any time but happens more often then?
I like the colorful forests but not any other fall decorations like pumpkins or thanksgiving stuff.Halloween on the other hand...
I was watching a livecam of different parts of New Orleans and the site boasted: "This is a fascinating look at the nation's most exciting city!" Yet there was barely anybody outside and nothing was going on. The most exciting thing I saw was a horse-drawn carriage, but I see those a lot in my town too. NATION'S MOST EXCITING CITY WHOOOO
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever read: (view spoiler) When New Orleanians had to flee Katrina, many stayed in Houston, and now the mayor of New Orleans has sent out all of those letters to people in Houston, thinking them for their support and that the entire city is eager to help them rebuild.["br"]>["br"]>
Breakfast today was two bagels with regular cream cheese and a small cup of apple juice. I've been craving bagels like CRAZY so I'm so happy Mom finally bought some the other day for me to have. The breakfast made me feel like I was in middle school again because pretty much all I ate for breakfast back then was a bagel with cream cheese and apple juice to drink.
I still regret that, because the school bathrooms were.....not very good.
Actually the worst ones I've seen were in Mississippi. They weren't really dirty or anything, but something about them just always felt...off to me. I think the worst thing about them was that they weren't labeled, so you had to freaking guess which one was the girls' and which was the boys'. I still remember the first time I had to use the bathroom and I walked into a really random one and then used it, and when I went back to class I heard some boys whispering and giggling about something and I misheard them and thought I had walked into the wrong bathroom and my whole face turned red and I didn't use the bathroom at school again for several days after that.
I don't know!! Maybe signs were too expensive or something. Typically the boys' were on the left and the girls' were on the right. From what I understand though they looked exactly the same and the boys' bathroom usually only had like one urinal or something.
It's Mississippi, I learned there's very many things they couldn't afford, like school buses and enough teachers. You share a lot in the school district.
My idol is my late great-grandmother. She was an incredibly strong and kind person and I strive to be like her in every single way. One of the first stories I heard about her was that when she was a really little girl, she became sick with polio and was told her entire left side would become paralyzed. She didn't want to become paralyzed, so while she recovered she forced herself to walk to school every single day to get the feeling back in her legs, and she ended up recovering and becoming very healthy and she wasn't paralyzed.
The moment I heard that story, I said to myself: "That's the woman I want to become,"
She was very friendly and generous to everybody and was always thinking of others and helping them, even if she didn't like them or if they didn't like her. She said being nice wasn't a political thing or a religious thing, it was a human thing that we all needed to practice. She was also really determined and despite getting sick a lot in her life, she continued fighting and living her life. I remember when she had a stroke later in her life and we were so afraid she was going to die-but she didn't. She even wrote me a letter a week later! It started out by saying: "Strokes can be inconvenient. I feel my handwriting is messy because I'm currently writing with my left hand, which is still stiff but I'm determined to push through this,"
She is a woman who genuinely made life a lot better and happier for everyone while she was alive, and I truly believe that that woman is in Heaven now, and as an angel and that she continues to watch over me. She may not approve of all my choices, but I hope she's proud of the ones I make to follow in her footsteps.
That's wonderful! I don't know a whole lot about any of my great grandmas. One i didn't know very well, another i never heard storied from her childhood or raising my grandma, but my mom talks about her all the time. Another is still alive and we talk some, but usually about our current lives.
And my last great grandma died before i was born.
My mom's grandma ((her mom's mom, the one who I hear stories about)) is/was ((not sure what tense to use)) the one I was closest to. I went to her house all the time when i was little and she loved watching me. WHenever my mom needed someone to watch me my great grandma would always offer.
SHe's dead, yeah/ SHe's been dead since i was in 8th grade. I just wasn't sure since she was the one i was closest to and that hasn't changed.Okay that probably sounded really weird. I mean I'm not as close to my great grandma who IS still alive.
There's a lot of relatives I never met because my parents' families don't like each other, nor do they like my parents.
My grandparents brought over the dog yesterday! I got to see it and pet it! It was friendly, but it was more preoccupied with sniffing every inch of the house. Grandpa described the dog as 'four legs and a nose'
I have other DL moodboards that are really good. It was hard finding one for every single brother but I did manage to save the ones I thought were the best. Kanato and Kou have had the best ones by far though.
Mom made me watch the show with her last night saying: "You'll love Kou! He's sweet but bratty, the way you like them!" And then we never watched his episode lol

At the bottom it's signed 'New Orleans' in a fancy style.

This is also supposed to be Kou's.
