~Look Down, You're Talking to Your Highness~[R]
Lol I don't care if you make them do gross stuff XDAlso, what is with that RP in the library? Raevyn's posts are all struck through.
Ahana had used a town character there without knowing you couldn't, so they stopped the RP there and moved it to town.
Oh. I figured that was what it was, but there was no explanation. I'll take care of it when I go through to clean that thread anyway.
Mom keeps watching the live coverage of Hurricane Irma and saying "Look at all of that beautiful coastline in Miami! Look at those pretty beach condos! They're all going to be destroyed in the hurricane!" And I keep asking her if she's okay.
She said: "I'm just thinking about it because it's just so sad when you think about all the damage hurricanes do. Beaches are really beautiful and hurricanes destroy everything! They tear up the coastline. But I can see why people would want to live on the coast, it's beautiful!"
I'd love to have a beachfront property. I would say I'd live somewhere that's less prone to hurricanes like South Carolina or Georgia, but I'm a Southern girl at heart and you can't keep me away from those beautiful Louisiana and Mississippi beaches.
Not as much as places like Florida or Louisiana do though. And they're not AS destructive, although there are exceptions. Technically any coastal area can get a hurricane, but that doesn't mean conditions are always good. I mean, New York is coastal but it doesn't get hurricanes that often.
Yeah but new York is much further north and the waters there are colder; both of those will weaken a hurricane. Georgia and SC are north of Florida but not THAT far north.
New York has at least one nice beach. While sort of rocky, it's a nice place for a walk. The only other beach I went to actually had pretty rough waves that day and made me fall down >.< Granted, I was only 7, but Mom never lets me forget.
WHen we went to the beach when I was in 11th grade it was windy and the ocean was choppy so we didn't get to go in >.<
Sounds like my mom because when I was a baby I fussed constantly and ruined all the nice things she wanted to do with me and she never lets me forget.
My mom just hates the water and thought I was going to drown though I was only a foot in and landed on my butt lol She always thinks that I'll get too deep in the water and fall since I can't really swim. (Somehow I'm not coordinated enough for it lol I've tried to learn, I swear.)
I can't swim either. Or rather, stay afloat. In 9th grade me and some choir girls got into tue water and kept going further and further out to see how big the waves would get before we went under...yeah I was not as bright then >.<
When you're reading a thing on New Orleans slang and you realize...a lot of your pronunciations are the same. Like I say 'cement' the same way, which makes me wonder, there's another way to say it?? Same with insurance?? And jambalaya?? Everyone up here makes fun of my accent...now I know why! I also tend to take the 'g' off actions, like I say: "I'd like to go out runnin'" Instead of 'running'
But where did my accent come from???

Lol I made it up myself. I've been thinking of adding more hurricanes to it, but the thing is...there's a LOT of retired names in the Atlantic ocean alone. I can't just add every single retired name in there. I have to draw the line somewhere. I might add in Hugo and Mitch and Felix, and then stop.

Do Hugo. My mom's house was nearly crushed during that.

My mom has a story about Hugo too! So maybe. I'll have to think of a good design for him though >.< Their appearances are usually modeled after the area they hit.
There's a Today show reporter in Miami beach and it's so windy there you can hardly understand what she's saying.
Mom went to bed late because she was busy watching the live coverage of it. Don't tell her yet but it's made landfall.
Did you see that on the satellite Irma has a face? It's like when they found that face in Matthew, only way less creepy.
Irma's face: (view spoiler) It was making landfall on Cuba when it was taken. It kinda looks like a pig-elephant to me. Matthew's face: (view spoiler)
THAT IS NOT EDITED, I was one of the first people to see it. When that was taken, it had made landfall in Haiti, killing over a thousand people. Very....appropriate visual for such an action. ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I know, right? The meteorologist who found it said: "Matthew's all dressed up for Halloween as a skull!"
