I'd love to have a beachfront property. I would say I'd live somewhere that's less prone to hurricanes like South Carolina or Georgia, but I'm a Southern girl at heart and you can't keep me away from those beautiful Louisiana and Mississippi beaches.

Not as much as places like Florida or Louisiana do though. And they're not AS destructive, although there are exceptions. Technically any coastal area can get a hurricane, but that doesn't mean conditions are always good. I mean, New York is coastal but it doesn't get hurricanes that often.

Yeah but new York is much further north and the waters there are colder; both of those will weaken a hurricane. Georgia and SC are north of Florida but not THAT far north.

When you're reading a thing on New Orleans slang and you realize...a lot of your pronunciations are the same. Like I say 'cement' the same way, which makes me wonder, there's another way to say it?? Same with insurance?? And jambalaya?? Everyone up here makes fun of my accent...now I know why!

I also tend to take the 'g' off actions, like I say: "I'd like to go out runnin'" Instead of 'running'

Deep in the wilderness of Wisconsin, there lies a retirement home for retired hurricanes. These guys and gals broke records in their day, and now, they all relax here and reminiscence about the good old days. All was well....until a newbie named Matthew arrived and started talking tough, claiming he was bigger, faster, more destructive, etc than the other hurricanes at the home. These 'old-timers' decide to put Matthew in his place....just in time for two new arrivals! Are they as lame as Matthew? Or will they live up to the retirement home's guideline? Only time will tell.

Camille: The 'grandmother' of the group, she's very wise and soft-spoken. She likes to stay out of their disagreements and is the only one who can calm down Katrina. She was never photographed in color, so she is the only hurricane in the group who appears in black-and-white. She has straight, white hair that falls to her waist, grey eyes, and a 60's mod dress on. Underneath her dress is a 60's swimsuit.

Andrew: He's the 'cool guy' of the group and never lets anything get to him. He's always smiling and takes newer or smaller hurricanes under his wing, and reassuring them size doesn't matter in a hurricane, what matters is the impact. He's got messy brown hair, dark brown eyes, and wears a backward blue baseball cap, a white T-shirt, blue swim trunks, and no shoes.

Ivan: Andrew's best friend and goes nearly everywhere with him. He's athletic, although he gets out of breath easily and tends to not shut up when he's supposed to. He's a bit miffed he's not as well-known as some of his friends in recent years. He's muscular with short blonde hair, blue eyes, and red swimtrunks.

Katrina: The 'queen bee' of the group. She is never seen walking; she always sits on her giant throne of garbage that her lackeys carry around for her. She's very vocal about her opinion and thinks she's better than everyone else. She's easily annoyed by wannabes and has trouble making friends. She's got dark skin, curly dark black hair pulled up into a bun, and dark brown eyes. She typically wears a white bikini that's too small for her, a New Orleans sweatshirt, and a silver crown on her head.

Rita: One of Katrina's lackeys. She constantly praises Katrina and believes her to be superior, although secretly wishes she could receive the same kind of fear and recognition. She has dark skin, curly dark brown hair pulled up into pigtails, and dark brown eyes. She's almost always wearing a black bikini that's too small for her and white sunglasses on her head.

Wilma: Katrina's other lackey. She has no problems with Katrina's ego and always boasts about her. She never takes part in the group's conversations unless she's directly spoken to. She has tan skin, dark brown eyes, and dark black hair that falls to her waist she wears loose. Her outfit is a grey bikini that's too small for her, along with black sunglasses on her head.

Irene: Nobody seems to notice her, much to her distress. She's a very small, slim, willowy Asian girl with dark black hair that falls to the floor. She's soaking wet. She normally wears a light yellow one-piece that resembles a sundress with a little skirt, a white sunhat, and white flip-flops. She's very quiet, hardly ever speaking up. She has made acquaintances with the wallpaper.

Sandy: A very tall and loud girl who declares she's the best hurricane. She claims to have broken all of the records, and brought New York City to its knees with her fury. She takes Irene under her wing and believes she is absolutely invincible. She has frizzy blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, blue eyes, and her top half is outfitted in an American flag bikini. Her lower half has on dark blue ski pants and heavy snow boots.

Matthew: A lame newbie. No matter how hard he tries, no matter what he brags about, the other hurricanes laugh in his face and refuse to take him seriously. All he wants is a friend and a girl! He is cool! He broke a levee, he spawned some tornadoes, he had a tiny eye! Why do they laugh? Matthew is a thin boy with light brown hair, green eyes, and a white T-shirt and green swimtrunks.

Harvey: Another newbie. He's normally silent, but around his close friends, he opens up and jokes around a lot. He's close to Irene, and is still impressed he managed to make it as far as he did, since he personally didn't think he was very strong. He has bright red hair, dark hazel eyes, a sprinkling of freckles on his nose and cheeks, a blue T-shirt, and yellow swimtrunks, along with a cowboy hat. He's soaking wet.

Irma: Harvey's half-sister and yet another newbie. She's very unpredictable, switching from sweet and kind to crazy and rage-filled. Not even Camille can figure out her mood swings. The one thing that's constant is her boasting. She brags about how she beat all the records of the hurricanes resting there, and possibly the records of many more future storms. Despite her attitude, Andrew is quick to befriend her. She has tan skin, bleach-blonde hair, dark blue eyes, a Disney T-shirt, a baggy, pink flower-printed knee-long skirt, no shoes, and a pink bow in her hair. Underneath her clothes is a lilac bikini.


References: Camille was a very deadly hurricane that has often been called 'Katrina's deadly grandmother'. It flooded a bunch of the Gulf Coast and really woke people up in that region, making them prepare for hurricanes a lot better. No images of this hurricane exist in color.

Andrew was a very small hurricane, yet deadly.

Ivan currently holds the record for most tornadoes spawned from a hurricane.

Katrina is one of the deadliest and costliest hurricanes in history.

Rita and Wilma devastated the Gulf Coast shortly after Katrina, ruining a lot of clean-up efforts in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Irene brought lots of devastating rainfall and flooding to the East Coast, yet not a lot of people mention it.

Sandy is another costly storm, breaking the records for highest storm surge. It flooded most of the East Coast. It's also called 'Superstorm Sandy' as it didn't just bring a hurricane-much of the south-east coast received huge snowstorms simultaneously.

Matthew was predicted to be deadly and costly, however it never made landfall in Florida as it was predicted to, thus new forecasts had to be drawn up. It did things such as break levees and tear up beaches in the Carolinas, spawn some tornadoes in Florida and Georgia, and its tallest storm surge was about five feet. The name was still retired.

Harvey brought drastic flooding to Texas.

Irma is constantly changing categories and fluctuating; it's a very unpredictable storm. Some people think it might veer off-course and hit the Gulf Coast after Florida instead of Georgia and the Carolinas. It has broken many records already for speed, pressure, size, location, and hitting so close to Harvey; only a few weeks later. (hide spoiler)]

Lol I made it up myself. I've been thinking of adding more hurricanes to it, but the thing is...there's a LOT of retired names in the Atlantic ocean alone. I can't just add every single retired name in there. I have to draw the line somewhere. I might add in Hugo and Mitch and Felix, and then stop.
