And it might reach us >.< but it also might not since we're pretty far inland.

If it does hit you it won't be AS bad as it would be if you lived in a place like Florida. It might even just be a rainstorm by the time it hits you. Like we get residues of hurricanes all the time because of our location.
A few days ago downtown even got flooded really badly because Hurricane Harvey's remains arrived here and made it rain really badly for twelve straight hours. (It wasn't a storm, just rain)

I know it won't. I just checked my local news website and they said they EXPECT it to be a tropical storm or even depression with some rain and 20-40 mph winds and rain but better safe than sorry right?

She describes New Orleans as: "It's the type of city where if people tell you ghosts and vampires live there, you say: 'Yeah. Yeah, they do,' For other cities, you're like: 'Nahhhhhh,' but for New Orleans, you do. It's a very special place,"

Okay so... I was wrong about the dstance. We're over TWO hundred miles, not four.
My local news: http://www.wdbj7.com/content/news/Tra...

Have you heard of Marie Catherine Laveau? SHe lived in New Orleans in the 1800s

But hurricanes just don't seem to hit you :P I want to make a joke and say my state isn't hit by hurricanes either, but uh....I don't want to seem stupid :P

Isn't she the Voodoo Queen? Mom wants me to see her grave.

If y'all go to New Orleans take me with you! I'm dead ((pun intended)) serious :P

And that is why Mom says New Orleans is a special place :P

Literally the only reason i know about those is ebcause of a series of books i read when i was younger :p

I know all this stuff because my mom is obsessed :P she thinks New Orleans would be a good place for me to be because of how strange and otherworldly it is :P

They made a plan to get it done by 2018. They're going to demolish it and build a bigger one closer to where the tourists are.

She's heard of it because I told her about it, but she wasn't very interested in it. she prefers paranormal stuff set in New Orleans. Vampires and stuff :P

Ohhh
I thought the book was alright but I didn't feel invested in any of the characters. ANd the murder they make a deal about in the synopsis? Doesn't happen until like halfway into the book and even then, hardly discussed.
But I see she's a talented author; I just personally didn't prefer it. I didn't dislike it like I do, say, The LAst Airbender :p
Hey speaking of the paranormal, want to hear about the game i got last night?

Sure :P

It's a game called "Ghost Master". it's a puzzle game where you control ghosts. Most the the missions involving scaring people away and there are always trapped spirits to free and recruit. Many names and settings for levels are parodies of horror movies, such as "The Calamityville Horror" and "Poultrygeist" involving a ghost chicken. i've played it several times before.

That actually sounds like fun!

It is! I got it for less than $2 on sale. REgular price is like $4

As weird as it sounds that's never happened to me, and I've shared food and drinks with people more times than I can count. Maybe they're all getting sick from me

Mom: "You aren't going to be gettin' any big beads with your breasts,"
Me: :O
Lol
