~Look Down, You're Talking to Your Highness~[R]
Yes, the freaking ending >.< Someone in the group even spoiled it and I was upset and yelled at them, but you only scolded them for spoiling Sera, not me.
I'm just going to pretend I don't know the ending. This isn't the first time I've been spoiled for something I haven't seen.
I got parts of HArry POtter spoiled for me...years and years after it came out.Has Rogue One been spoiled for you?
AhIt was a good movie but it didn't feel like Star Wars if that makes sense. LIke it could easily have its own universe and still be mostly the same.
I also told her there's a really epic climax with a space battle according to the reviews I've seen, and she said she's excited for that too. She said: "Sometimes all you need in Star Wars is an epic space battle,"
Well we're not going to watch Rogue One for a while. We want to watch The Force Awakens first. (Yes I know it's not necessary but that's how Mom wanted to do things)

I'm watching the live coverage of Hurricane Harvey right now. They're saying it could be the worst hurricane to hit Texas since Hurricane Ike. It's getting real intense right now.
Rey is the main girl as you probably know. Then you have Finn. He's easy to remember because he's the only black person in the entire movie from what i remember :p
Aiding Finn for a time is the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron ((I think that's his last name)). The fandom ships him with Finn most of the time.
You should already know Luke, Leia, Han and Chewbacca. If not you're watching the wrong movie :p
Later on in the movie you'll meet a little orange alien named Maz. She's incredibly old and wise and as old and wise characters usually are, very cryptic.
On the bad guys side we have Kylo Ren. He's the creepy masked dude with the awesome red lightsaber and he is NOT a Sith. He uses the dark side, but that does not automatically make you Sith. The Sith went extinct with the death of Vader.
Along with Kylo we have his master, Supreme Leader Snoke. All we know so far is he's like the Emperor of the First Order.
then there's General Hux, an overly zealous military leader who will more than likely remind you of the Nazis.
Finally there's Captain Phasma, a female stormtrooper commander with chrome armor. You'll know her when you see her. She's also the only known female stormtrooper so there's that :p
Elizabeth♛ Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ wrote: "I'm watching the live coverage of Hurricane Harvey right now. They're saying it could be the worst hurricane to hit Texas since Hurricane Ike. It's getting real intense right now."I thought it was only supposed to be category 1 or 2?

I'll write this all down :P

Now it could weaken before it makes landfall, but with how things are going currently, they're expecting it to strengthen, not weaken.
Okie dokieIf you're confused about anything ask me or Sera. We're both really big Star Wars geeks :p

They start off as tropical storms and if their wind speeds go above a certain mph then they become hurricanes, increasing in category as their wind speeds increase.
I find this kinda ironic because it's also the 25th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew as well.Granted, that was Florida, not Texas, but still.
I believe so. Either today or yesterday, but they've been talking about it for several days now. My dad was actually in that hurricane. He was living in New Orleans at the time and was only a few years older than I am now. He didn't want to stay in his house in case the hurricane struck, so he spent the night in a hotel room. The hurricane ended up hitting and spawned an EF3 tornado that broke all the windows in the hotel. Dad says his entire room was sprayed with glass and there was debris everywhere that came in the open window.
Dad says it was one of the worst experiences of his life and to this day he has no idea how he turned out completely fine afterwards. He left New Orleans a few months after that and moved to another state. I suppose he didn't want to deal with another hurricane like that again.
I would never want to live in that area, or Tornado Alley. i'm perfectly fine with my "the climate and terrain aren't good for tornadoes and we're too far from the ocean" area.
Don't rub it in >.< I remember when Hurricane Sandy hit and Dad was watching the news of it and he kept complaining about how it wasn't fair that they were going super in-depth about this storm, but when Hurricane Katrina hit they only focused on Mississippi, which wasn't as badly damaged as other parts of the south, and Mom had to keep reminding him: "They did though. They DID report on all areas of the south. They just focused more on Mississippi because at the time it was flooding really badly and really quickly. They had no idea the levees would break and flood until it was too late,"
Believe it or not I still want to live in Mississippi again lol Just don't live next to the coast when you're in Mississippi. The entire state experiences really bad thunderstorms and tornadoes, but only the shoreline experiences hurricanes.
Yeah, Hurricane Andrew made landfall in Florida on August 25th, 1992. And then it made landfall in Louisiana August 26th, 1992. So at this time, twenty-five years ago, Dad was most likely packing up his things and moving to his hotel room.

What do you mean? Hurricanes can't reach you, right?

MAkes sense.
We still get tons of rain and some thunderstorms from hurricanes, but that's it.
You can? I thought you were in a place they aren't common? We can still get tornadoes. They're just really rare.
No, there's lots of tornadoes and tornadic weather here. While it's not as common as someplace like Kansas, we still get them a lot.
What, I can't watch Weather Channel Live because it doesn't support my cable system, but I do have the Weather Channel on my TV! I wanted to watch the live coverage of Hurricane Harvey!
I got to see The Force Awakens! It was in a nearby park, hence why Mom took me. There was quite an impressive turnout, and once the movie got started, people were eating and such; things like Indian food. And Mom wouldn't shut up about the people eating the Indian food lol. There were even people smoking weed, which I found really strange. Overall though, I had fun at the movie and was glad I got to see it. Mom and I think Rey might be Skywalker's daughter....
Some people think she's Luke's kid, others think she's the grandadughter of Obi Wan. Obviously we can't say :pDo you have any questions about it?
No I don't have any questions :P When Han Solo showed up I remember everyone in the park applauded, yet nobody applauded when Leia or C-3PO showed up and I felt bad for them lol
Just thought I'd ask in case something confused you :p Do you get the difference between the Resistance, Rebels and Republic?I was mad when Leia hugged Rey instead of Chewbacca after Han died. Like...she had known Chewbacca for over THIRTY YEARS and she barely even knew who Rey was, plus Chewbacca was one of, if not Han's closest friend! WHy would she not comfort one of her old friends who was friends with the guy who died?
Kind of? :P A lot of the politics in Star Wars just confuses me. I know there's bad guys and good guys trying to take them down. To be fair Chewbacca didn't really look like he needed a hug.
Honestly, I think it was more that Leia knew Chewie longer and knew he needed to be alone. He's always been more of the distant type, so it didn't surprise me that she didn't go to hug him first.
So basically the rebels from the Original Trilogy sought to restore the Republic and overthrow the Empire. In Return of the Jedi they succeeded and the Rebels established the New Republic. The Republic chased the last bits of the Empire away to the far reaches of space, where it became the First Order. Due to politics and a lack of desire to fight after a bloody civil war, the Republic refused to finish off the remnants of the Empire and let them be. Some people didn't like this, so they began to create a "Resistance" which is officially unsupported by the Republic, so they can claim they had nothing to do with the Resistance and avoid a conflict.Of course, now that the REpublic's capital is gone, who knows what will happen.
The story in the movies is pretty straightforward IMO. Light side=good, Dark Side=bad. Once you get into the EU things get complicated because you see the "good guys" creating superweapons and torturing and experimenting on innocents and stuff. But we're not talking about that :p
