A family was setting off fireworks last night fairly late at night, and this one woman got annoyed and kept telling them to stop, and they wouldn't, and she finally called the police on them.

Of course the police didn't actually do anything because they weren't the only people in our neighborhood shooting off fireworks lol.

Personality: Ristol is rather insecure about himself. He grew up in a world where pegasi were associated with girls, not guys. THis has lead him to become both a liar about himself and bring about doubts of who he really is.

History: Ristol was born in a farming village in the realm of Astax. When he was born, Astax was at war with Estrea, a neighboring country, one who sought to plunder Astax's resources and enslave their people in the name of Sutia, the goddess of chaos and madness. Several months after Ristol was born, the war ended as both Astax and Estrea grew tired of fighting. A peace was eventually settled, allowing Ristol to grow up in a world of peace. He spent his idle days learning to ride animals, namely horses and pegasi. Soon after that, he took an interest in learning to use weapons, mostly to defend her farm from predators. His interest in the farm's pegasi disgruntled his dad. His dad insisted that he should dedicate his energy towards riding horses and taking care of the animals, like a "real" man.

Ristol gave this suggestion a try, but his family moved to Suitol, the capital of the realm of Astax when he was nine or ten. He had heard of the technology available in Suitol but actually seeing it was hard for his mind to process. His family had electricity, running water, plumbing and a few entertainment electronics, but Suitol had screens with news and ads everywhere, virtual realities and many more things Ristol could never even imagine without seeing.

Being in the big city, Ristol began attending a formal school, as children could not work by Suitol law. Ristol quickly became friends with some of his classmates and began hanging out with them. On days after school when he was free and could not hang out with his friends, he would be part of a pegasus riding practice group in hopes of getting better.

Around the age of sixteen, Ristol joined a group of fighters, having learned how to use some weapons before. THese fighters were purely for entertainment and people were rarely even injured during fights. When his parents found out, the reaction was neutral to positive. HIs mom was of course worried for his safety but decided he was smart enough to know when to stop and his dad was proud that the boy was taking up something "manly" instead of riding pegasi. Little did he know, Ristol did much of his combat on the back of a winged horse...

I was thinking she inherited her mother's ability to control plants and uses nature magic. She's both a botanist and an alchemist.

Both of those are different though, especially botany. Botany is learning about different plants, and in a survival context, it can be learning about which plants are edible and help with wounds and stuff like that.

Alchemy's still different, it's about experimenting with different elements to make gold, or other materials. I think it's different from potions-it's more similar to modern-day chemistry.
