I found an old TikTok compilation from 2018 and it's such a throwback, I miss seeing these people active on the TikTok scene and I remember all these trends
I found out about this fanfic that's being turned into an original novel featuring Eastern European mythology and it sounds good so I'm basically like 'do I read this now as a fanfic or wait until it's an original novel and completely forget all about the fact it even was a fanfic' lol

My grandparents said they're going to come visit us next month after they get their shots!! I'm so excited!!! We haven't seen them in so long!
I had to go to the gas station to get some ice cream and I got a few other things too and this guy behind me in line was like 'ooooh you got the munchies!' and I said 'it's not all for me' and he said 'yeah right, you're lyin' and then said he was only so social because he was super high and gave me some money. He then was like 'you got that blue card, you're ballin'!' He asked me what my name was and I told him and he said 'my name is Jeremy but a lot of people call me 3 like the number' and I asked if there was a reason for that and he said 'gang-related stuff I'm originally from Chicago' I told Mom when I got back and she said he must've found me hot and when I said no way she said guys don't ask your name and give you money for no reason lol

Last night when I was trying to brush my teeth I heard my baby brother's laptop be like 'you remember those? to me they were that one cartoon I watched at like four in the morning when I was sick because some channel would always play old cartoons like that but you know what if people are calling for something to be cancelled that's offensive to French people I say go for it' and I was dying laughing

I hate the fact I made a Hot Pocket and now I don't even wanna eat it, like eat it, you made one, it won't make you sick, at the worst it'll give you heartburn and it's gross and weird but you've dealt with it before so you can handle it, it's a very light flavor, and you can't eat your cereal until your brothers go to bed and you're hungry so just eat the Hot Pocket already. You might not even get heartburn from it because you had some lighter stuff earlier and you don't get heartburn or nausea if you eat light stuff before a bigger meal/greasy stuff so you'll likely be just fine so again just eat that Hot Pocket already
I was looking for some hero playlists because I don't want to listen to the villain playlists because I don't want to be the villain, I don't like them, and I did find a few but they seem to take the idea of 'hero' a bit too literally, the villain ones are more versatile and can apply to really any sort of villain but the hero ones are more about like, superheroes which isn't bad but I just wanted a more general hero playlist but I guess I can just pretend I'm in something like Demon Slayer or Bleach, those are heroes who fight villains, but then again I should just listen to their soundtracks to get that feeling. I was looking for them since I relate to the heroes more often than not, I want to be a good person. A lot of the hero playlists that came up were like anti-hero or dark premises like a hero who sacrificed themselves to save the world or didn't want to be a hero anymore because of how the world treated them and I'm like 'can't I just be a hero?' I dislike this idea that a hero automatically means boring and uninteresting. Everyone says 'it's so boring to always be a good person and behave' No it's not. I think you can be a good person and interesting and engaging and yet also be the hero. It's not synonymous with being boring. I mean, I know plenty of characters who are cold or aloof or jerkish or blunt or rude or vain but at the end of the day they fight on the good side because they're good people and I think they're interesting. There's playlists for heroes becoming the villain but what about a villain who becomes the hero? Or like, the villain was the villain and was bad but then the hero saved them. They slowly learned to be a good person. I find that more interesting than watching someone become bad because I think anyone can become bad and decide to start caring about themselves, but I think it's much harder and therefore rewarding for someone who was bad and selfish to gradually learn to be a good person. I don't know I just want to be a good person and the main character of a story and I've always felt left-out even to this day over the fact I vastly prefer the goodness and light over evilness and dark like everyone else does. And I know some people might say 'well why don't you listen to the villain playlists and just pretend they're about a hero?' Because heroes don't go around stealing or murdering? They're too dark for the life of a hero. Even the people who made some of these playlists said they didn't feel very strongly on making a hero playlist so it may not be the best and I'm just like 'that's a good sign'

I think sometimes it's fun to cause a little havoc but ultimately I always want the good guys to win. In the newest Yakuza game, Ichiban sees himself as the hero like in a fantasy RPG and people think it's kind of silly but they admire his passion and heart

Oh no oh God I haven't been able to eat anything sugary for the past month I think because whenever I did this one tooth on my left side would sting badly so I drastically cut down on sugar but then earlier I ate some random crackers and it made my tooth hurt even though they had no sugar in them!
Mom said they're getting ready to remodel our apartments so we'll have to move out for a brief time and even though they'll help us get settled into a new place I keep thinking it sounds like a huge pain to deal with
Mom and I really need to rewatch Soul Eater, we can just never seem to finish it for some reason and I swear I remember nothing about that show, Mom keeps being like 'what about this, remember this?' and I'm just like 'no' Well I remember some stuff but not a lot, like I don't remember a lot of the fights but I remember some smaller comedic moments, I remember the last episode we left off on I think was the one where Maka and Crona go to the Czech Republic to fight some golems, honestly I remember almost everything having to do with Crona because I like her, except for her fight with Death the Kid, I swear that never happened but Mom is like 'we watched that episode, it was on a pirate ship remember?' and I'm just like 'I've never seen this man before in my life' At the very least I want to rewatch that episode because Death the Kid VS Crona sounds like a cool fight, though honestly Crona VS anyone would be interesting because of her fighting style. But anyway yeah Soul Eater. Maybe I'll just read the manga
Why do we even need sleep, so stupid. I'd rather never sleep again because think of everything you miss while you sleep. If you stay up all night, you can't experience the day but if you stay up all day, you can't experience the night. Personally I'd rather never need to sleep in comparison to something like eating, I mean you can multitask while you eat you're not supposed to but everyone does anyway, while when you sleep you just lay there and sleep

Detention in intermediate school was so boring because your teacher wouldn't even give you what the class was working on they'd just give you a random worksheet and I finished it very quickly so I was stuck reading for the remainder of the day and it always gave me a headache since when I was younger I had to put books super close to my face to see them and that gave me a headache so by the end of detention I felt ready to faint, my one break came from when we got to have lunch
I spent a good chunk of my life believing I had O blood and thus was universal so I never worried about anything and then at one point Mom told me I was O, but I wasn't O+, I was O-, which can only receive and give O- and it's the rarest blood type of all and thus it's in extremely high demand because people with O- can only receive O- but it's so rare it's hard to come by and I felt so betrayed lol
Mom watched all of the second season of B: The Beginning and told me about it and I started dying laughing when she told me about some guy who wears a bright puke-green pair of pants and a bright mustard-yellow jacket because those are the two absolute worst colours in existence and pairing them together like that is just woof lol
I think it's interesting how when I was younger I really didn't like the nineties aesthetic or fashion, I thought it was super geeky and uncool, but then the eighties came into vogue and thus I became super interested in the fashion and cultural interests of the time, eighties too but slightly less so I guess to push back against the eighties popularity but I honestly think I'd much rather be in the nineties if I had to pick one time period to be forever stranded in because I still have television and telephones, some of the fashion is still in vogue today, and food was still unhealthy but not to the levels it was in the eighties. Of course Mom is happy I have an interest in it which I find strange, she says she dislikes the eighties and nineties from a historical aspect, like she doesn't want to be taught anything about them because she's like 'I already know everything that happened' but she'll still gladly answer any questions that I have about the political or cultural climate of the time, she loves telling me about what fashions and toys she had back then and then in the nineties, what sort of stuff she watched and how she felt about emerging technologies and in a way I'm very glad my mom is as young as she is because I know so many people my age who are super obsessed with the eighties and nineties but don't have that personal connection to it, they really want it but their parents are too old to tell them what the 'youngsters' were into so they're envious my mom is the way she is but that's not my fault, and I also like it since I have such an intimate view of the time and I know it's just one person's and even then Mom was super notable or even rich, she was incredibly poor growing up but that's also an interesting perspective, and I just like having her since I feel despite the fact the aesthetic is popular, a lot of people my age still have this idea of looking down on those decades and insist they were super backwards and offensive about everything and Mom is always there to clear up any ideas I have like that, saying the media of the eighties and nineties were seen as extremely progressive since they talked about issues like LGBT rights and she's like 'of course it wasn't perfect but is today perfect?' I still think the nineties is slightly more interesting than the eighties purely because of the technological revolutions that happened during it and I keep hoping that'll come back into vogue again since it was such a vintage yet modern decade, I think evenmoreso than the eighties was since that was the decade the Internet was invented and it's kinda weird to think I've used it literally all my life and it was only around for a few years prior to my birth and my mom got to witness it firsthand. It's gotten to the point she's dropping references I don't understand and then she's like 'oh wait I don't think that exists anymore'
My parents were born at the end of the 70s so they're 80s-90s kids. They don't talk as much about life back then aside from some shows and games and reminding me that when they were my age, they went outside and played until it was dark!I hated playing outside even before we had video games for us kids
I know aq lot of people who say the best part of Stranger Things is the love letter to the 80s which of that's one of the biggest selling points I don't really want to watch it because it's like you said, there's no personal connection. I
Mom never went outside and played either, she stayed inside and just played with her toys or read. She told me my aunt was far more active so she had all the outdoor toys. Though I still don't think I'd like Stranger Things even in spite of that because as I said, I'm more into the nineties and if I come across something in the show I don't get there's no guarantee Mom would know since she was a young child. Nineties on the other hand, she knows everything. There have been so many times I never asked about something and looked it up myself and she's like 'why did you doubt me you could've asked' Were you going to say more? Lol
