The names I decided on are:
Cholera is named Adam Mickiewicz who was a famous Polish poet who lived in Lithunian-owned lands of Belarus during the Russian Empire and became a famed poet and to this day is considered to be one of the most famous and influential poets in Polish history and culture. He traveled abroad a lot especially after numerous failed uprisings in Poland and mainly lived in Western Europe or Russia for most of his life, which greatly influenced his poems; at first they took inspiration from Belarusian folklore but as he was exposed to more cosmopolitan ideas in other parts of Europe his poetry adjusted to become more classical. He eventually got sick and died when visiting Constantinople in the Ottoman Empire and even to this day people debate what his true ethnicity was; Polish, Polish-Lithuanian, Belarusian, Lithuanian-Belarusian, Lithuanian, etc
Admittedly I was split between him or Juliette Recamier who was a very famous reader and salon-holder in France also renowned for her beauty, but seeing as how my first cholera was named after a woman I thought it'd be fair to name my new one after a man this time
Spanish Flu is named Jazeps Grosvalds who was a famed Latvian painter credited with bringing an entirely Latvian spin on post-modernism and impressionism in the late-1910's. He formed an avaunt-grade group of artists called Green Flower and was mainly inspired to paint scenes of daily soldier life that he saw while serving as a rifleman in WW1. He also painted Parisian and Oriental scenes but ultimately died of Spanish flu while on a trip to Paris in the 1920's
Typhoid Fever; I struggled with since there were a lot of good choices and originally I wanted to name it after Princess Elizabeth who was a cousin to the Romanov family but I wanted to be even more obscure than that so I finally settled on Lydia Zvereva who was the first woman to earn her pilot license in Russia. She performed in aerial shows and her and her husband operated a machine-parts factory in Riga even during the war. Obviously she died fairly young of the disease and there was an aerial show at her funeral in her honor
Smallpox is named Koken after Empress Koken a Japanese Empress and one of the very few. She only ruled for five years before her male cousin took over the throne. Her own rule was turbulent with several attempts made on her life and nowadays she's mainly remembered for supposedly having an affair with a Buddhist monk she said should become emperor alongside her; she also established a Buddhist temple and sponsored the Hyakumanto Darani which was one of the largest productions of printed work in ancient Japan
Black Death is named Helena Megale Komnene, not a lot of information is available on her but we do know she was Queen of Georgia back in the mid-1300's which is also when she died from a resurgence of the disease in that nation
The cholera I already had is named after Inessa Armand who was a mistress of Lenin and notable for being the first woman to have a state funeral and burial in the Red Square which was an extremely high honor unheard of for a woman at that time, even though she had French-English blood she was very involved in communism and Russian politics at the time
Almost all of them are named after girls but I swear I didn't do that on purpose. This took me way too long to do lol

I also sometimes donate to the IRC even though their commercials annoy me because I feel bad for always skipping them

Overall, I am very disappointed. This looks dull, boring, and trying too hard. I can't believe the original creator said this was all okay. This is actively trying to erase everything he did to make a compelling, diverse, and unique(for the time) show for little girls! This is how you treat your fans in their twenties who you specifically said you're making this show for because you know they want a more mature Winx Club? The show itself certainly wasn't perfect, the second season was basically pointless, a lot of stuff dragged on, it ignored a lot of its own lore, the later seasons are especially infamous for leaning way too heavily into a childish demographic, but they knew what they were doing and what they wanted to be. I think I'll still give Fate a watch when it comes out of morbid curiosity, this was a teaser trailer after all so who knows, maybe the creator or someone else will fix all of these problems, maybe they genuinely make it really good, who knows, but as of right now, I have to say, if this is how you treat those older fans of yours, screw you. Do better. We all deserve so much better
And yes I was listening to the OST from the cartoon while writing this, what about it

One comment said "With everything going on recently, Netflix really went - "we'll take out one char all together, whitewash/replace two WOC characters, that is what the fans want, and it'll be fine since we'll make one fat, and make sure to make her look as dumpy as possible because we'll dress her only in sacks.""
I don't really have much to say because again I never watched the cartoon but even *I* thought the trailer looked super boring and uninspired.

There's more to it of course but I don't want to spoil it. If you like shonen action you'd probably really like it. It's a lot more mature than other shonen anime ((and a lot shorter)) but it's not the darkest anime I've ever seen.

Why not? I mean it doesn't matter ultimately but I wonder why. I thought you liked action anime like MHA

Like, the main character, Jin, learned how to fight from his granddad who's gone missing so he wants to find him. And the girl on his team, Mira, is the last person on Earth to know a certain sword style and she's trying to find someone to pass on the knowledge to
