Mom: "Who was her betrothed? Probably Prince John, or maybe the Sheriff of Nottingham,"
Me: "What makes you think she was betrothed to any of those?! She could've been her own character,"
Mom: "Because there's only one famous woman in the legend and that's Maid Marian,"
Me: "She wasn't Maid Marian though! Her name was actually Marian-oh."
Mom: "Exactly,"
Me: "Darn it!"

Moral of the story is, epidemiologists are secretly very scary

Half of them were Regency dresses but a lot of them were 1860's gowns

Western Europe/America? That's what people automatically think of when they see gowns like that, either the Victorian Era, Civil War era, or royals like Empress Elizabeth of Austria-Hungary

Me too, I'm so glad to see someone else around my age admitting that, I always feel so left-out when I talk about my desire to do all kinds of kid-related stuff like wanting to help out at daycares and summer camps and such and people are always like 'ewww you actually wanna be around a bunch of screaming little brats?' like in my experience it's the kids ten and above who are screaming brats, the younger kids are usually the sweet ones, I guess because people like you aren't constantly crushing their hopes and dreams, like let me do what I want to do like darn, I'm not asking you to be the one to take care of them

Me: *clicks another video*
Video: *has that same exact song except played on a different instrument*

I love kids. I just don't think I could be a responsible parent. I certainly don't have the money for one :D but my cousin has a toddler daughter and she's so sweet and precious and I love her every time I get to see her

The joys of at will employment

Reminds me of a pic where someone sent a zoomed in picture of Gordon Ramsey's forehead

Yeah it's almost as if being super hygienic and sanitary helps cut down on infectious diseases, something humanity has been struggling for centuries to properly understand and has been scientifically proven again and again and again that just washing your hands is often enough to prevent even super deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid and tuberculosis and huge outbreaks of famous diseases usually were in areas that weren't clean and sanitary for one reason or another

Ouch. Usually when I'm about to win, the estimated time for the cure skyrockets to 10-20+ years since people are dying so fast :P
